Ponies At Dawn – Voyager | Compilation Album | Multi-Genre

Here it is, what’s bound to be the best Ponies At Dawn album yet. With each new album comes both a new selection of artists as well as some of the great ones who have been around for a while – something that is in my opinion the best balance when compiling brony music.

The album is available completely for free on Bandcamp, or you pay whatever amount you wish for it. You can expect to see many of the songs from it posted on the site in the coming days and weeks!

Flittzy – Take A Chance | Acoustic Pop

NB: This was originally posted on Equestria Daily on 5 October 2016.

Flittzy has been around for a bit, but this is their first appearance on the site under said alias, previously known as ChickenSteve. Here he’s released a pop rock style track where the centerpiece is absolutely his vocals, which are really the main thing here that make the song really fun to listen to – definitely worth a listen if you like upbeat pop-y rock stuff.

Elias Frost – Under Our Spell (covering Daniel Ingram) | Finnish Folk

Well, it’s one thing to cover this song, but to translate it into another language and perform it in a style native to the country where said language is spoken. This take on Under Our Spell from Elias Frost features plenty of interesting wind instruments and percussion. And uh, you probably don’t need a translation of the lyrics 😉

Spectra – I’ll Show You My Loyalty (Covering PhonyBrony & Feather) | Acoustic

Our own Spectra’s moving up in the world, having recently passed 2000 subscribers. In order to thank everybody who helped him get there, he’s released this really cute cover of what was arguably PhonyBrony’s most celebrated fandom track. Make sure to check it out if you like acoustic stuff

SlightlyAmiss – Just Passing Time | Folk

Talented singer and guitarist SlightlyAmiss graces us with utterly beautiful vocals once again, with a deep song paying tribute to Lyra and some headcanons about her from the community. Delighting with meaningful lyrics and tear-jerking soft guitar play, the song will take you to an amazing journey of sound as you stargaze with Lyra.

Vylet Pony – Super Pony World | Guest Album Review | Electronic

Better late than never, eh? NB: A small part of this review was also written by Spectra.

Hey kiddos, it’s Reverie, and while I’m busy being sad and hating myself that I haven’t been working on the Top Ten listings that much due to school and graduation and all that, I’ve written a comprehensive review, going track by track through ALL of the new Vylet release, entitled Super Pony World. Since we don’t want to exclude some of the deluxe version material, this is going to cover all of the base tracks plus a couple of the original pieces from the deluxe version. So, let’s hop right into it after the break!

FlyingMelodys – Family Forever More | Soft Rock

A pleasant instrumental piece from FlyingMelodys, this song is actually a rework of one of their older pieces. It combines soft rock, acoustic, and orchestral elements into one single track dedicated to the CMC.

TheMusicReborn – Ballad of The Pink Pony Bard | Folk

Folk music! Another genre we don’t see often, but it’s always a pleasure when we do find some. Loosely based on the Friendship is Witchcraft series, and the image used in the video, the song tells the story of…well, listen to the lyrics and you’ll see! (because ballads, right?)

Vocal Score & Scarlet Harmony – Come With Me | Acoustic

We’ve featured Vocal Score and his amazing voice on this site before, but Scarlet Harmony is a new name to us…and WHAT A VOICE she has that counterparts Vocal Score’s brilliantly. The harmonies in this song are beautiful, the lyrics are so touching…I sure hope these two do live performances together, I’d love to see that some day!
