Night Blaze & KennyDash – Dreams Keeper | Soundtrack

Here we’ve got an amazing piece from Night Blaze and KennyDash that just feels like the perfect comfy BGM to have playing in the background of such a tender scene depicted by the cover art. The musicians do an awesome job at keeping a great progression and coming up with very OST-like melodies, even delivering an emotional guitar part further on. A real bliss!

Einarx – The Bats (feat. Zompony) | Trap

Another release from Einarx’s upcoming Nightwatcher EP, this Trap treat gathers the help of Zompony and plays out in both cool and sick fashion, as the fear of vampire ponies arises again in the dankest musical ways. If there was a club in Equestria for bat ponies, I’m pretty sure the manager would be a vampire pony… and I can imagine very well this track playing there as many bat ponies jam to the beat and the Trap vibes!

[P@D] ExplodingPonyToast, ThatMusicBrony & LutariFan – Start Again (Morgsch Remix) | House

A new YouTube release of a track displaying much Amity, it is now time for Morgsch’s Remix of the iconic Start Again to grace YouTube servers with its presence. Keeping the soft, chill mood from the original with a prominent sax that lulls the soul, the remix plays out an enjoyable and steady House beat and reawakens the original melodies with much grace and emotion, while showcasing the original vocals in a beautiful way. The sax solo is the icing on the cake, and provides untold soothing power.

Trixent – Dimension Hugger | Drum & Bass

Now onwards to the darker side of Drum & Bass thanks to our friend Trixent, we welcome his new release that isn’t short of the gritty sound design and unusual structures that the musician is now known for. Laying out over 6 minutes of musical bliss, this journey deep in pitch-black Drum & Bass will tingle your senses with delightfully eerie sounds and a masterful progression full of aggressive kicks and bass, as you get the musical embodiment of our favorite hippie pony transcending time and space to other dimensions courtesy of the Lord of Chaos himself (more info in the comments section). What could be her musical motif even appears during the track! A much inspired and amazing piece indeed. Darkness isn’t to be feared!

Vylet Pony – Little Dreams (Intersekt Remix) | Drum & Bass

Here’s what could well be my favorite remix of the critically acclaimed Little Dreams from music visionary Vylet Pony! It is bringing such a unique musical mood, that seems to blend Drum & Bass with the soft and warm side from the original, and the result is nothing short of emotional. The focus on the vocal chops is especially very appreciated and a delight for me, as it uses to bring much emotion, and Intersekt does it incredibly well in this remix. Truly a feast for the ears and the soul!

[PP] Dynamite Grizzly – Moondancing All Alone | Breakcore

NB: This was originally posted on Equestria Daily on 8 February 2017.

Dynamite Grizzly has made a bunch of cool new music recently, and you can find a bunch of it, along with this track, on their new album The Horses Really Like Techno. This is possibly one of the zanier tracks on the album, and features an interesting and diverse range of sounds with some quieter sections interspersed with crazy breakcore drum sections and some great vocal sampling throughout.

Romstar – Winter’s Wrapped Up | Electronic

I didn’t know about Romstar before this track came up, but I sure have been very impressed and delighted when I listened to their whole discography! I downloaded every single track available in FLAC, too, that goes to tell how good it is. (You can find most of the older tracks from Romstar available for free download here, I highly recommend them, amazing stuff!) And this new release is certainly a feast as well, with many unusual sounds inspired from Chiptune, sweet melodies, starry reverb, sci-fi/fantasy synths reminiscing of FF13’s musical mood, and a progression full of many wonders. Winter’s Wrapped Up again, and in the most delightful musical ways!

Ferexes – Wake Them (NeverLastStanding Remix) | Dubstep / Trance

Remixes are truly a wonderful thing, and with such views on the topic as NeverLastStanding’s, you can be sure that magic is going to happen upon that transformation. Building from the already very special Wake Them from music wizard Ferexes, this remix takes a very unique approach full of uplifting melodies coming back-and-forth and flowing in a wonderful progression, sublimating the godly vocal chops from the original in a mesmerizing torrent of emotion. An amazing remix and a wonderful description from NeverLastStanding!

Einarx & Liam K – Sonata | Electro

Off the upcoming Nightwatcher EP centered around Luna, Sonata might perhaps reflect the soft lullaby that the Princess of the Night indirectly gives to ponies as they fall asleep. Although this track resulting from the collaboration of musical talents Einarx and Liam K sure sounds the like “heavy” kind of Sonata, and it is definitely much welcomed! Full of that tasty Electro sound, it seamlessly delivers a sick musical experience of many stylish synth melodies, wubs and beats! The last part in particular is my favorite.

Filly in the Box – Struck | Chill Dubstep

Time for a new delightful release from Filly in the Box, that has that tasty unique signature sound and that doesn’t fail to impress and amaze once again! This post is a bit special, as I introduce you TWO reviews of the track, by guest writers Bank Pain and NeverLastStanding! Thanks for lending us a hoof! Check out their reviews below.

Start of Bank Pain’s review
Filly in the Box returns to bring a new slice of his signature sound, this time in the form of a relaxed, reverb-loaded half-time tune that still manages to surprise with complex, rhythmic basslines. Complete with gorgeous vocal chops and impressive sound design that build a chilling atmosphere right from the first second as well as FitB’s attention to detail, this track is sure to take you on a journey through its soundscape.

Start of NeverLastStanding’s review
Filly In The Box continues the streak of posting really phenomenal and unique songs with “Struck”. This is one that easily gets stuck in my head, as from the start it has really catchy vocal chops, then builds up with some fantastic plucks that build the atmosphere and give that FITB flare. The drop has that stand-out distant and fading feel. The 2nd drop is even better with some top-notch sound design. Overall a track that is worth listening to with its own quirks that make the song a wonderful journey!!
