I gotta admit, I’ve never heard of Comet Glider before, but I’m glad Makenshi showed this to me. This track is a great little dark/neurofunk influenced piece about Evil Sci-Twi from the third Equestria Girls film. If you haven’t seen the film, GET ON THAT RIGHT NOW! It’s been out for 5 months already!
Electronic
DJ RockinHoof – Taking Flight | Melodic Dubstep
A musician on the rise, DJ RockinHoof powers up with the release of a huge album containing such outstanding tracks as the atmospheric and melodic Taking Flight showcased here, or the dubstep-y and threatening Timber Wolves. You can check out the whole album on DJ RockinHoof’s YouTube channel, where every song from it is uploaded!
NeoN – Hearts & Hooves | Progressive House
We’ve been getting some pretty awesome progressive house music being released recently haven’t we? Well, keeping up with the trend is this uplifting track from NeoN released in anticipation of the upcoming ‘Hearts and Hooves’ (Valentines) day. So settle in and enjoy the good vibes.
うすうすベア – CIDR.XXX | Gabber
If you’re looking to savor a new hardcore track, fractilx is serving up some top grade gabber to quench your thirst. This tune features an energetic array of elements from anthemic supersaws to fluttering acid riffs, all propelled forward by both amen breaks and punchy gabber kicks to make for brilliantly energetic cocktail. If you’re looking for something upbeat, you’re sure to get your money’s worth.
Midnight Musician – Another World | Progressive House
Midnight Musician has released some awesome electronic music in the past, including his track for P@D Starlit Flames, as well as his innovative trap remix of Discord. In this new track he showcases his vocal abilities, and his ability to make a really quite beautiful song – I love the chord structure of the main part of the song. This is definitely one of my favourite tracks of the month so far – you should all go check it out!
Lunar Dance – Promises | Progressive House
Lunar Dance has burst onto the scene recently with some really well produced electronic tracks. This track is an anthemic progressive house track called Promises, and it’s probably my favourite track of theirs so far – definitely somebody to look out for!
Totalspark – Crash | Melodic Electro
From the prolific Totalspark comes a heavier track compared to his usual stuff, with a Rainbow Dash inspired melodic electro track that just makes you want to bounce along to the beat.
Panic – Galaxies (Feat. Robb Stone) VIP | Electro House
Panic’s back again, this time with a VIP (Variation In Production) of his track Galaxies, from October last year. At this point I’m almost convinced Panic is a highly intelligent robot considering the speed he releases awesome tracks…or maybe not. Either way, I can’t complain about good new music!
NB: We’re categorising VIPs as remixes for now; we don’t think it’s worth making a new VIP category so that’s how we’ll run things for now 🙂
Woona – Universe | Complextro
From the relatively unknown as of yet Russian electronic musician Woona, comes this promising complextro track. There are some some pretty cool sounds in the drops!
Daniel Ingram – Find the Music in You (NeverLastStanding Remix) | House
I think NeverLastStanding (A.K.A. Aphix Sky) is one of my new favourite remixers. Ever since he revived his channel towards the end of last year, he’s created some fantastic remixes of songs both from the show and the fandom (including one of my own)! Check out this one for a little trip back to Season 4 and one of my favourite episodes from the show.
