Vylet & Sylver – i just want you to notice me | Future

I think this is close enough to call “future”, with low-fi hip-hop influences and some additional audio aesthetic thrown in for good measure. But anyway, about the track itself – this songs marks the release of another character-specific EP from Vylet, simply titled lotus, after the character on whom it focuses, and again with the theme of the album deeply rooted in romance.

You can get the EP for just $2.99 on Bandcamp, and I expect Vylet will upload the remaining songs to YouTube over the coming weeks..

Synthis – Crash To Pieces | Future

NB: This was originally posted on Equestria Daily on 3 December 2016.

Consistently high quality and beautifully produced, new Synthis releases are always something I look forward to eagerly, so it’s great to see a new piece from him! The instrumental for this track is a lot more relaxed than some of his other works, with a bit of a trap/future bass feel to it, and it works wonderfully in collaboration with some wonderfully sung vocals. The lyrics themselves are also quite thoughtful, so it’s worth paying attention to them whilst you listen. Make sure to check it out!

Daniel Ingram – The Pony I Want To Be (Xavi Remix) | Future House

NB: This was originally posted on Equestria Daily on 1 December 2016.

After a bunch of releases under the name Kawaii Dash, Xavi returns with what’s probably one of the most interesting remixes of The Pony I Want To Be. This one takes the vocals and combines them wonderfully with an instrumental that’s an interesting combination of future sounds and a bounce-y groove. As with all Xavi tracks, it also features some pretty neat percussion and auxiliary sounds, and the vocal chopping towards the end is also much appreciated – definitely worth giving a listen!

DJT – Candy Bits | Future Bass

This sweet-as-candy new release from DJT brings all the yummy Future vibes and serves us with a full course of melodies, percussions and bass creating a perfect alchemy, along smooth visuals by DealFire. It also acts as a teaser for DJT’s new EP that definitely sounds very promising and that you can preorder here, and as a character theme of sorts for the musician! Honestly, who’d reject some sweets? We all need some sugar in our lives!

Top Ten Pony Songs of October 2016 released!

More community voted Top 10 songs, and a good half of them came from Ponies At Dawn: Voyager, great job by the entire P@D collective. Anyway, take a look at which pony songs* made it into the top 10 this month.

*Oh, and Say by BlackGryph0n & Baasik is in there too for whatever reason ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

FruityFusion – Waifusquad | Future Bass / Hip-Hop

Is it just me, or is anyone else reminded of the Wii Shop music? Fruity’s new track sees him trying out not one but two styles I’ve never heard from him before. It starts off with a slower future bass section, filled with plenty of 808 kicks, sub bass, and vocal splicing. The middle section switches up into a faster tempo hip-hop section, before going back to the previous future bass style again.

Kawaii Dash – Moe Hors | Future House

We can always count on Kawaii Dash aka Xavi to give us the purest and smoothest Future vibes, and this Future House track certainly isn’t lacking inventive sound design, moe whomps, crisp percussions, and mellow (not to say water-y) vibes. If the feeling of getting into a party in Equestria full of cute ponies and refreshing drinks all around was turned into a song, this might just be the result. Another wonderful release from Xavi-chi!

[P@D] DJT – Peppermint (feat. Puffy) | Future Bass

I’m kinda surprised that there’s only one future bass song on Voyager, but the quality of this more than makes up for the quantity. DJT’s usual bright and crisp sound is as prominent as ever and the combined spliced vocals of both Pinkie Pie and Puffy throughout the song are the icing on the cake with this hugely uplifting piece. The spoken word section from Puffy in the middle really brings home that uplifting vibe too.

Ponies At Dawn – Voyager | Compilation Album | Multi-Genre

Here it is, what’s bound to be the best Ponies At Dawn album yet. With each new album comes both a new selection of artists as well as some of the great ones who have been around for a while – something that is in my opinion the best balance when compiling brony music.

The album is available completely for free on Bandcamp, or you pay whatever amount you wish for it. You can expect to see many of the songs from it posted on the site in the coming days and weeks!
