One of my faves from A State of Sugar Bubblegum, Cavorting the Castle takes inspiration from the kind of BGM you’d hear in castle-like areas in RPG games, with fitting regal and medieval vibes, and hints of a playful side too! Heartsong (formerly DoctorSympony) displays their talent once more by perfectly emulating that style using various instruments, and creating a piece that would fit so very well as an OST track.

Luna Jax – Anxiety | Acoustic
Luna Jax is back again with another profound song with a lot of emotion behind it. Backed by his signature guitar work, Jax tells of his own experience with anxiety, a feeling many of us know far too well. It can be extremely hard to function when those dark shadowing thoughts creep in, and for many, those thoughts come with a loss of motivation or creativity. It’s difficult to live with anxiety, but even harder to speak out and share those thoughts with others. So thanks Luna Jax for having the courage to produce this piece, I’m eager for more.
Zephysonas – My Little Pony: Sunset Shimmer Simulator (Original Score) | Orchestral
Those of you feeling powerful things for MLP characters might be able to relate to the story unfolding in this track, and for me it certainly made it so very emotional. Zephysonas signs a conceptual masterpiece with this original score composed to fit the progression of the story of the comic Sunset Shimmer Simulator, and it does it so very well, representing every part with the corresponding mood, and always with such musical talent. If you cried while listening to this piece and watching the video, know that you aren’t the only one…

A new upload from Equestria’s number one Power Pop band is a feast everytime, and this one from the Ponymania album is about Flurry Heart! The lovely PMV is making us melt at the same time as the song and its tender vocals, making it sound like something you would sing to Flurry Heart herself. A soothing release, and tribute to a character that doesn’t get songs that often!

Daniel Ingram – Pinkie’s Present (Vinny Schway Remix) | Electro Swing
We don’t often get pony Electro Swing and this time Vinny Schway got us covered, with a tasteful remix of Pinkie’s Present from S06E08 A Hearth’s Warming Tail! Pinkie is leading the way around town and all the happiness around with her vocals, as punchy beats and jazzy piano are paving the road to a heart-warming time with the ponies.
Kaminakat – Atelier Twily | Soundtrack
A momentous release for me, here’s a real treat full of J-RPG Soundtrack love! A crossover between MLP and my favorite active J-RPG series, Atelier, it takes inspiration from both Twilight Sparkle and the main theme from Atelier Viorate, and delivers a heartfelt original composition in a nostalgic chiptune style. Blissful melodies and sounds, sing an ode to the soul for the gamer!
And by the way, if you’re into J-RPGs I really recommend that series. It’s a very active one, with 9 games out already on PS3 and PS4! All games by studio Gust are amazing and very lovely, I also recommend the recent Blue Reflection and Nights of Azure games.

Vylet Pony & Sylver – Earnest (feat. Namii) | Indie Pop
Between the classy instrumental, the vocals making you melt, and the very cute video, there’s much to marvel at in Earnest, the result of both hard work and lovely times from Vylet, Sylver and Namii. Showcasing the spa sisters Aloe and Lotus, the song and video take the listener to a happy ride along the musicians’ feelings, Namii’s ever-impressive vocal range, and the creative musical vision of Vylet and Sylver, that are always a delight to experience.
