Black Electric and SDreamExplorerS – Marionette (Lianella Stilson Remix) | Metalstep

Metal and EDM aren’t two genres that crossover all that often, but it seems like those who make it happen know how to do it right. Lianella Stilson’s Remix of the SDreamExplorerS‘ cover of Black Electric‘s Marionette combines the heavy guitars and crushing vocals from Dream with synthetic drums and low basslines. This is Lianella’s first release since Fireworks from February of this year, and what a way to return this is.

Sia – Rainbow (Damien Nagy Cover) | Pop

French brony musician Damien Nagy has graced us with a lovely cover of Rainbow from the My Little Pony movie! The mellow recreated instrumental fits his voice wonderfully. Speaking of his voice, it has surprising power behind it and his tone provides a unique twist on the original’s vocal line!

John Doe – Stroll | Soundtrack

John Doe returns to the soundtrack fold with the 2nd track from the recently released EP, White Tail Park. Keeping in spirit with Legends Of Equestria’s themes, this song primarily uses string and wind instruments you’d find in a typical orchestra. The general feeling of the song is calm and steady, with the faint sound of birds chirping to further fuel the atmosphere of taking a walk outside. Halfway through sees the addition of a wooden-sounding xylophone, which gives a sense of adventure. A great addition to an already great game!

Vylet Pony – As Strong as Horses | Indie Pop

Vylet’s new album Queen of Misfits will be released December 25th, and this pre-release certainly shows the color of the Trixie-themed album! I love Trixie and to have an album dedicated to her is such a treat. Looks like the tracks will have a personal meaning to them from the musician this time around too, judging from the thought-provoking description! Time to bliss out to cute vocals and synths alike…

Night Blaze – New Day | Orchestral / Soundtrack

A piece as gorgeous as a sundawn or a moondawn, New Day is Night Blaze’s tribute to the two sisters, as well as a musical take on their backstory. An epic, intense, deep and uplifting composition is brought forth along the progression of the track, and it’s just so wonderful to listen to while thinking about the topic some more!

Ardeleiz – Solelh-còlc | Acoustic

A new treat from Ardeleiz has come out, and it is a delicate Tia inspiered acoustic guitar solo. The title in Occitan translates to “sunset”, and indeed it makes you feel as if you were sitting by the sea, basking in the last amber to scarlet rays of Celestia’s light, waiting for her to gently lower the sun, as gently as the mellow melodies coming from the music itself. The composition is centered around a catchy main theme with variations all the way through. Go check it out if you want to soothe your soul, and admire the blissful art from WolfieDrawie.

N4ghtwolf – Artificial Madness (feat. Liv & Learn) | Hybrid Orchestral

N4ghtwolf is back again with an impressive piece featuring vocals from Liv & Learn. The dark story it tells can be heard both in the instrumentation with a variety of strings and an organ, mixed with more electronic components, as well as in the grim lyrics. The concept-driven piece carries heavy emotions throughout, and definitely manages to convey the creepy feels in the atmosphere crafted in the story.

Ponytronic – Circadian Sleep | Chillout

Ponytronic has a penchant for making creepy-sounding music also sound chilled out. This one in particular is the 5th and final track off their recently released EP, Phantasm. Much of the music here consists of a dark melody played by soft synths with a deep bass in the background as well as a strong drum pattern, perfect for the Nightmare Night season. Check out the EP for more great tracks!

Rarity Advocate – Passacaglia | Orchestral

Matching the beautiful artwork of stargazing Rarity with a breathtaking composition on the organ of 12 minutes, Rarity Advocate definitely had another marvelous idea with this new track, that is very unique! We don’t get such pieces focused on the organ often in the community, and the soothing vibes from the sounds are definitely a wonderful accompaniment to the artwork!

Remember Falling – Dead in the Water | Hybrid Orchestral

Remember Falling continues to impress. This track is another from her upcoming album Dawn Into Dusk, and it’s a beautiful one. The song is absolutely filled to the brim with harmonious vocals set to an orchestral and electronic backing, showcasing what sounds to be a duet between a male and a female with lyrical themes of water pulling Hollow (the album story’s main character) towards the next step of her journey. The ambience all throughout the song really does feel like a trip through a deep body of water, so it’s safe to say RF captured that feeling with flying colours. The album has a tentative release for late this year, so keep any eye out!
