I don’t even know what to call this, but it’s definitely one of the more unique songs I’ve seen in the past couple of weeks! Go take a listen to this new song from Zephysonas which seems to be orchestral based around rock and pop patterns and structures.
Orchestral
A Symphony of Two – A Strange & Isolate Place, Part 1 (The Moon) | Orchestral
A Symphony of Two seem to put out an oustanding brand new piece of orchestral music every week without fail. This track seems to be the first part of a story they’re telling though music, and I’m intrigued to see where the rest of said story will lead…
In Memory of MelodicPony

On Friday 24th June, we learned from an article posted on Equestria Daily that MelodicPony, a well-recognised orchestral composer in the fandom, had passed away, reportedly from a stroke. Aged just 27, this Czech musician created pieces that garnered hundreds of thousands of views, and showed an incredible talent for composition. Today, we wanted to make a post in tribute to him and look at the music he left as his legacy; few in number they may be, but known by many and consisting of 2 years of productions. Continue reading for a look at each of his songs that he released.
Frozen Night – Dawn | Orchestral
Frozen Night finally uploaded their orchestral song track from Balloon Party’s latest album, Chromatic Horizons, released a few months back! Although it felt a bit out of place as the closing track to an otherwise completely electronic album, it holds up just fine as a standalone song.
OrchestralDesign – Summer Nights | Orchestral
OrchestralDesign is not only the best at flipping tables in the whole community, he’s also a talented composer and it most definitely shows in this new piece Summer Nights. Fitting to the recent Summer Sun Celebration but also an ode to the many beauties of the Night, this quick but meaningful Orchestral journey will make you experience all the beauty of a summer night in musical form with gentle piano, gorgeous choruses and winds evoking the very spirit of wonder itself, transitioning and ending with a mighty space-ey 8k subs special, worthy of 2012 A Pony Odyssey.
Direct Current – Pinkie Goes on an Adventure | Electronic
Much to our delight, Direct Current releases a much unique piece centered around the wonderful pony that is Pinkie, acting both as an awesome tribute and a musical experience of many wonders. What’s so interesting in this lively-as-Pinkie track, is that many distinct musical genres are represented, from Orchestral to Rock, and even with little Chiptune-ish notes! Hop, skip, jump and follow Pinkie in this crazy adventure!
BlueBrony – Celestial Rise | Orchestral House
Sentient composer BlueBrony pays tribute to Celestia with a quite deep and unique song Celestial Rise, designed for the Summer Sun Celebration as an ode to the sun and the wonderful blessing we are granted every day in this world just like in Equestria. With a delightful and uplifting progression, powerful bass-y synths creating magic like some Pink Floyd songs did, mighty orchestral buildups, and a fresh and bright finale, this song along its equally beautiful visuals will remain a wonderful anthem of the Dawn for many more Summer Sun Celebrations to come.
Spry – Soarin’ (Tribute to Soaring Flight) | Orchestral
The friends who left this world shall always be remembered and paid tribute to, and that could only be made even more true in our community that feels like a family. As beautiful as it is powerful, here is a heartfelt and definitely very special piece from Spry, dedicated to late pony musician Soaring Flight. Soaring blessed us with his music, and a musical tribute like this melancholic yet mellow orchestral rendition of feelings just feels perfect.
TheMusicReborn – Reflection & Reforation (feat. BriLizyT & AshleyH) | Musical Duet
I had no idea how to classify this song under our system, but “musical duet” just about encompasses this song. Written and composed by TheMusicReborn and performed as a duet by BriLizyT and AshleyH it’s based upon the episode No Second Prances, and Starlight and Trixie’s stories of redemption.
A Symphony Of Two – The Path You’ve Chosen | Orchestral
A song about a long and lonesome journey, now featuring timelapses. Have this orchestral piece from A Symphony Of Two to finish off the day, and it’s just as good as we’d always expect from them.
