Remember Falling continues to impress. This track is another from her upcoming album Dawn Into Dusk, and it’s a beautiful one. The song is absolutely filled to the brim with harmonious vocals set to an orchestral and electronic backing, showcasing what sounds to be a duet between a male and a female with lyrical themes of water pulling Hollow (the album story’s main character) towards the next step of her journey. The ambience all throughout the song really does feel like a trip through a deep body of water, so it’s safe to say RF captured that feeling with flying colours. The album has a tentative release for late this year, so keep any eye out!
Orchestral
Shal Music FX – Daybreaker’s Future | Drone Metal / Orchestral
Strap yourselves in, because this is a long one. Inspired by an alternate future where Daybreaker reigns, this track is completely filled with a sense of dread. It starts out with an edited sample of Daybreaker monologuing from A Royal Problem before diving right in, showcasing its atmospheric chops through the use of evil organ chords, a dark choir and a deep, distorted guitar. Being a drone metal song inspired by bands such as Sunn O))), it progresses at a snail’s pace, with other elements such as drums and other vocal samples pushed far away from each other. Don’t let that discourage you from listening, as this is yet another Nightmare Night listening experience that’ll stick with you.
Alexey Kotlyar – Driven | Soundtrack
Today is Nightmare Night, and what better way to celebrate it than with a song that perfectly suits the mood? This one hits the creepy mark in all the right places, starting off with a somber collection of bells and strings that weave in and out of tune after a small passage of time.
A minute in, a stronger collection of strings play, joined by a tense group of percussion and a piano, all coming together to create something truly terrifying. 30 seconds go by, and everything calms down again.
The combination of just a piano and some strings forms a calming atmosphere, but soon enough, they both begin to lower in pitch, bringing the sense of dread back full force to the listener before only amplifying it with the return of the percussion and dissonant strings.
The track closes out with a cacophonous chorus of a piano and an organ, eventually fading out just like a flame from a candle. As if that wasn’t enough, an unsettling image of Twilight staring towards the viewer is the sole visual piece throughout the video, only further adding to the creepy atmosphere. This’ll be one Nightmare Night to remember!

John Doe – Spoopy | Soundtrack
For this year’s Halloween Update of the fan game Pony Town, John explored a different path to spookiness and eeriness, with the classic “creepy amusement park” and “scary clowns” vibes! Once again the musician’s talent can be felt with their ability to nail such precise and distinct styles, and all while designing it as a BGM track!
John Kenza – Friendship is Magic | Piano Solo
As a letter of love and gratitude to the show staff as well as his friends, John Kenza wrote this very sweet medley of piano arrangements of many familiar songs, all flowing so seamlessly! Definitely very emotional for more than one reason, this 9-minutes piece is so heart-warming to listen to!
Marcus Warner – First Flight 2019 | Orchestral
The 2012 masterpiece First Flight gets revamped by the maestro himself, and it is on brand new skies that we can now re-experience the Scootaloo-themed beauty. With an impressive progression and an intense buildup reflecting the emotion of Scootaloo’s First Flight, this new version definitely hypes up Marcus’ “Reprise EP” some more!
Zephysonas – Equestria at War (feat. Osoch & Soul Strings) | Epic Orchestral
Matching an epic artwork of the finale with epic music, Zephysonas provides such an intense theme featuring lovely melodies, as well as Osoch on the drums and Soul Strings on the bass. A team effort, strong enough to vanquish these villains for sure!
[P@D] NeverLastStanding – To Home | Rock / Happy Hardcore
Track 6 of Ponies at Dawn: Eternal is the album’s first rock-driven song, and serves as a brilliant tribute to the show. All throughout the song are fast-paced drums, major key synths and to top it all off, MLP vocal chops which are even spliced together to make new lyrics. The song also has three different phases, starting off which electronically-charged rock music reminiscent of an anime, a brief orchestral segment to slow things down, and then towards the end, a big build up before going into a fully electronic motif lead by a powerful kick sound in front of the cheery synths. The track makes it clear that the show has left its mark on us, and it feels like the mane 6 are singing directly to us!
Remember Falling – The Sun is Dark | Hybrid Orchestral
After a long hiatus, Remember Falling has returned with her first track since April, The Sun is Dark. This one in particular is a piece from her upcoming album Dawn Into Dusk, and the emotion felt in this song is palpable. From both the vocals with lyrical themes of recovery and longing to be found to the hybrid orchestral backing which starts off slowly before picking up and then climaxing with a big boost in tempo towards the end, this number is a great example of what RF is capable of. Dawn Into Dusk might also be coming out before this year ends, so keep an eye out!
