I gotta love it when GhostXb brings all the Soundtrack vibes, and even though this new track focusing on the girls from the 4th EQG movie and their costumes isn’t an actual OST track featured in a game or show, it sure feels like one, and it feels amazing. The heroic feel, the feminine side, the epic progression, it all so perfectly reflects the events of the movie. Also, the utterly amazing vocals accompanying the winds in the last part make it quite emotional.
Orchestral
A Symphony Of Two – La Valse Du Vent | Orchestral
With such a profound and emotional track, you want to find some meaning or story to it, like for example the track being part of an OST, playing in a game during a cutscene as some tribe performs an important traditional dance along this waltz, in order to fuel magic into a crystal and safeguard their species. Will it work as expected?
The L-Train – Theme from “Daring Did: Tales of an Adventurer’s Companion” | Orchestral
Inspired by the works of renowned score composer John Williams, The L-Train comes up with his own epic Soundtrack piece made in commission for the fanfic Daring Did: Tales of an Adventurer’s Companion. Definitely succeeding to reproduce the same OST style in a very lovely way, this original Orchestral and OST piece feels like a call for adventure and uncovering many mysteries along the way.
Nightmare Night Music Compilation!

I knew people liked making special songs for Nightmare Night, but I wasn’t quite prepared to be flooded with new music this morning. We’d never get through them all if we posted them individually, so read on for 10 fantastic Nightmare Night songs! Yes, 10!
Frozen Night – Fragile Existence | Orchestral Metal
NB: This was originally posted on Equestria Daily on 28 October 2016.
Frozen Night is back again with another remake of one of their older pieces, Fragile Existence. With a beautiful little piano and strings build up, epic drums start to hit 2 minutes in, instantly raising the impetus of the track. The rest of the instrumental also becomes a lot more epic, and the introduction of guitar helps to really complete the piece. If you want some epic orchestral metal, make sure to check this out!
[P@D] Frozen Night – Through An Infinite Dreamscape | Orchestral
NB: This was originally posted on Equestria Daily on 17 October 2016.
With such a bold track title, one would expect something pretty epic in scope, and here Frozen Night delivers upon that promise with a beautifully building orchestral track that first envelops the listener, before bringing in the strings, drums and other elements to really paint an engrossing picture. The way this piece builds and flows is really well done in my opinion, and it’s definitely worth a listen if you like epic-style orchestral works!
CainbowRrash – Ping Timeout…Message Not Delivered | Orchestral
Ah, Fallout: Equestria, the source of many fan works past and many yet to come. I’ll avoid spoiling the inspiration behind this song, but it seems the moment from the story was particularly poignant for CainbowRrash, a new musician in the fandom. Get your fix of Fo:E inspired music for the day with this orchestral piece.
A Symphony Of Two – A Symphony Of Chaos | Orchestral
NB: This was originally posted on Equestria Daily on 19 October 2016.
Returning with another piece, A Symphony Of Two have created a dark orchestral tune themed around Discord. The tone of the piece certainly fits the character, and again, it’s quite cool being able to observe them as they create the music in the video for the track. With some grim-sounding piano combined with solid percussion and brooding strings and choir, this is certainly worth giving a listen!
[P@D] Jyc Row, Francis Vace & Woodlore – Warriors of Griffonstone | Celtic Metal
And now, Jyc’s other track from Voyager. This one was a pretty cool collaboration – getting Francis on another track with the metal guitars, and Woodlore’s voice is so powerful it fits the genre very well (and the little acoustic bridge part means we get to hear him do his thing too!)
CrystalData – Perfect Morning | Orchestral
In continuation from the last post, after a New Dawn such as that one you could expect to have a Perfect Morning, and that’s precisely what CrystalData is giving us here with this wonderful Orchestral track and scene that equally feel much like Equestria. If you just imagine being there and partake in the lovely moment while listening to such music… you’ll find the emotions can flow really fast. CrystalData just came back after a little hiatus, too, so be sure to show your support!
