[ASOS] Skelter – Get Up | Hybrid Trap

Another track from ASoS: Waffle, and it’s Skelter with track 6, Get Up! A fitting name; his usual style of trap mixed with dubstep synths shines through with pumping drums and elements of orchestra. With a powerful melody and overwhelming bass, this is a fun number that’ll be sure to get you on your feet. Another good addition to the club playlist!

TCB – The Empress of Friendship (EFNW19 Edit) | Metalstep

Friendship is power, and so is this song! TCB returns with another edit of the original song from the 2018 PVCF Convention Album, this time reserved for this year’s Everfree Northwest. While the song hasn’t changed much from its original form, it’s been given a new coat of paint with an updated intro with a new menacing lead guitar track while still keeping the familiar Cozy Glow voice samples. Give it a spin!

Acouste Wholenote – When The Party’s Over | Acoustic Rock

If there’s one good thing I can say about post-con-depression, it’s that it can be a good outlet, as our old pal Acouste Wholenote has demonstrated. Though he never got the chance to go to BronyCon, he still felt the need to give it a proper sendoff with this stripped-down acoustic number. With only his powerful voice and an acoustic guitar, he strums his way through flawlessly and sings with passion, closing off with an electric solo and a fade-out. As sad as it is to see BronyCon go, let’s never forget the good times we’ve all had together.

[NSN] Hoofy – Nightmare Fuel | Riddim

Serving as the 3rd track on the Never Say Neigh compilation album, this compound of Trap and Riddim precipitates a headbang session. It incorporates a trap-influenced introduction complete with unsparingly rhythmic hi-hats until a breakdown of vigorous drums and rolling basses. Stick around for the two surges of rhythm that Hoofy bestows upon us, and while you’re at it, check out the rest of the brilliant NSN album, too!

Wind Sthorm – A l’ombre de la Nouvelle Lune ~ Divine Rencontre | Soundtrack

Wind Sthorm’s been off the grid for a while, but now they’re back with a short but sweet orchestral number about the princess of the night! Along with the song’s art depicting Luna presumably getting her wings for the first time, the strings, piano and choir all come together to form an emotional piece as beautiful as her very own night sky. This is the start of the new era of Wind Sthorm, and it looks like we’re in for a treat from this point onward.

Elias Frost – Evil Rises | Soundtrack

The great and powerful Elias Frost returns with an original orchestral track! This one represents the great evils of Equestria returning at the beginning of S9, and it shows. A slow burner; it starts out with an ominous choir before picking up the pace with string instruments, heavy percussion and wind instruments as a supplement. Like his previous track Twilight Hime, it’s a track that’ll be featured on his soon-to-be-released album, Stories Vol. III. Be on the lookout!

[ASOS] Jalmaan – Cascade | Progressive House

Ahoy! A brand new grand convoy of splendid house music awaits! Frictionless synths build a sincere atmosphere, and almighty leads gleam among these musically interesting harmonies. Sway along to this emotionally resonating cascade that Jalmaan donates. Now promoted by the ASOS: Waffle compilation album, there’s no reason not to listen to this cathartic progressive house ballad!

[ASOS] Cynifree & Zizkil – From Here To Where (VIP) | Complextro

From Waffle, the latest compilation from A State of Sugar comes a VIP version of Cynifree and Zizkil‘s From Here To Where, originally from Ice Cream! While the original was a jumpy and cheerful progressive house piece that definitely suited the Kirins, this one shows their harsher Nirik side with the use of aggressive synths, harsh leads and a chopped up vocal sample of Autumn Blaze. The two producers have come together once again to make something heavy-hitting and definitely something you can bang your head to!

FilledSilhoutte – B.Y.B.B | Future Funk

I believe Funk as a genre is not used nearly enough in our fandom after hearing this track by FilledSilhoutte. Vignette Valencia from EQG’s Rollercoaster of Friendship was a nasty character. She pretty much was Rarity without Rarity’s good quality. When I hear this funky melody it does scream the arrogance and ego of her character. Funk as the music itself can be used to emote or highlight a theme. The music itself was used to give Vignette a sense of style and the right amount of her annoying self-centered ego. Funk as a genre has always been about style, class, and smoothness. This track uses that to a fine key. Well done by FilledSilhoutte who must have done his homework about this genre. As always, please judge for yourself, as this Qilin will tell you.

P.S: This guy only has 142 subs on his channel. That is a crime. Please show some love to him.

John Doe – Crystals | Soundtrack

Seasoned composer John Doe has crafted another beautiful tune for a new update of the very popular Pony Town game! This one is a bit more subdued and focuses on the crystal caves in the new update. Naturally, John Doe uses percussive mining sounds and dripping water noises (among other things) to great effect, creating an engrossing atmosphere and evoking a sense of wonder in the listener. A very calming tune for a cozy night in or one of adventure!
