SpinScissor’s latest track is based around Spike, with the lyrics expressing his regret about his actions during the episode “Secret of my Excess.” The track opens with flowing arpeggios and a simple, but seductive kick pattern. Throughout the track, Spin makes excellent use of vocals: at times, he pitch shifts them to be lower and distorted. In other places, they’re layered to make rich harmonies and form a gorgeous texture. The track ends by introducing some crazy synth action before dropping out to leave just the bass and some pads. Wonderful work!
