Viricide Filly – These Bitter Wings | UK Garage / House

Second Back From Reality song that got featured on Cider Party! Congratulations Viricide Filly! Finally she is deserving her award for her 3 years of hard work.

The vocal chops are so well performed that make a beautiful synth! The mix between the robotic vocals of Viricide and the synth work and the drum work is amazing! Perfectly the best track from Viricide’s latest album. Also, I loved that sample of Rainbow Dash’s LOUDERRRR!

Also, just for saying this, Viricide is very good in writing lyrics and giving the real meaning to the song. Basically this song is about a breakdown of Viricide’s OC, Eleanor, also because this album is a concept album about her OC.  Not moving an inch, these bitter wings want me dead – this song has really some meaningful and deep messages inside of it. Basically the “bitter wings” are the every single crack of her troubled pasts. Loved the “solo” done with the synths at the end of the song, it was very awesome!

[P@D] Francis Vace & PegasYs – On Your Own | Alternative Rock

While seeing PegasYs’ name on a rock production might come as a surprise to some, Francis Vace is quite the guarantor for quality. And indeed, On Your Own is excellent proof that some unexpected team-ups will sometimes yield results that are very well worth some attention. Pega’s brilliant vocal work, coupled with Vace’s vast experience in composition & recording within their genre of choice, makes this track a both contemplative and energetic afternoon jam, with a guitar duet to top it off—an absolute must-hear for every fan of Starlight.

Lone Brony – A day in the forest | Orchestral

Peaceful and tranquil, with an undercurrent of adventure, Lone Brony’s composition brings to mind the placid glades near Fluttershy’s house. Teeming with life and light, the music lulls and comforts us with its serenity. Lone Brony’s music is always relaxing, and this is no exception!

Francis Vace – My Favorite Thing About Horses | Acoustic

The 10th track from his newest album The Old Mare And The Sea, Francis Vace sings about his favorite things about horses, in a humorous and acoustic way in his guitar. You already know that is a Francis’ song just because of Vace’s rough and aggressive vocals,  which are fitting for his ska/punk tracks. But what we don’t know is that his vocals also fit into progressive house tracks, pirate folk songs, or even acoustic songs like this one, with very pleasing guitar riffs.

Also who doesn’t love some ‘topical’ humor?

Download or buy The Old Mare And The Sea from Francis’ Bandcamp page.

[P@D] PVNK – Exterminatus | Electronic

PVNK shares my interest in Warhammer 40k, and this song takes inspiration from that setting’s biggest way to fix problems. Equestria is being invaded by Changelings, and ponies decide to activate a countermeasure of sorts. Gritty, lo-fi, noisy, and discordant, this is the auditory equivalent of watching a supervolcano erupt. I loved every second of it.

Editor’s note: Bonus P@D: Awakening mémé at the end!

[LDB] NeverLastStanding – Forever & Always | Happy House

What a fantastic song by NeverLastStanding! Electric pony samples plus happy sounds equals a truly spectacular song. From the description, it seems that this is NeverLastStanding’s love letter to the fandom. And that’s something I absolutely support. Truth be told, I feel exactly the same way. I love this fandom, I love its music, I love ponies, and I love seeing other people feel the same way. /)

Cynifree – The Mysterious Mirror | Glitch Hop / Moombahcore

Groove, style, and wubs collide in The Mysterious Mirror! Gritty bass and shuffling drums found the song for the synths and effects to build on. It’s themed around Applejack discovering a mirror that shows her surrounded by all manner of dark creatures. Who knows what lurks within the mirror?

Modern Bard – Celestial Sunrise | Ambient

A supremely atmospheric and immersive track, Celestial Sunrise is chilling in its majesty. I let my mouth hang open as I took in the beauty and the splendor of the music. Modern Bard says “more majestic than all ambient i’ve done before,” and I have to agree. This is a truly unbelievable composition.

One Track Mind – A Thousand Years of Spite | Experimental Noise

I like experimental, and I like noise. I’ve never seen the two together, but I like this too! Vocal chopping (perhaps “shredding” is a better word) and an overriding, almost carnival-like melody are the bread and butter of the song, with the bass providing an excellent seasoning on top. Now this is a song to wake up to!

TPressleyJ – Shockwave | Hybrid Trap

Woohoo, some pegasus music! The severe weather warning is absolute gold, as is the [spoilers!] signal beep. The melody’s catchy, sinister, and thoroughly enjoyable. Delicious bass composition, rain effects, and drum placement round out the song. The thumbnail is intriguing – did Lightning Dust cause the storm?
