It’s been a while since Fooz’s last original track…okay, last serious original track, but this is one that attendees of Pacific Ponycon might recognise. He premiered the track there and it’s now available for everyone to hear, and to experience the infinite hair attack.

Quicksilver – Ahuizotl | Rock/Metal
NB: This was originally posted on Equestria Daily on 13 January 2016.
Quicksilver’s nailed it here with a heavy and enthralling instrumental track about Ahuizotl. With some great guitar work pulling off some nice melodies and some solid drums backing it up, it’s a bit different to have something from him without vocals, but it definitely still works well.
Homage McGee – Alone | Electro-Pop
NB: This was originally posted on Equestria Daily on 11 January 2017.
Hot off the heels of his last groovy release, Disco Girl, Homage returns with an awesome follow up in the form of Alone. This track instantly hits with a funky groove to it, and some cleverly programmed vocal chops. That continues throughout the track, which whilst carried by the generally ever-present vocals, also has great old-school feeling synth usage.
Note: Since the original video got deleted, you may find the MP3 file of the song here.
Ponies At Dawn – Amity | Compilation Album | Multi-Genre
In a break from the usual pattern of albums released by Ponies At Dawn, this time round their latest release, Amity, contains exclusively collaborations and remixes of past P@D songs. As always, it contains a huge variety of songs, from artists both old and new across the fandom, all joined under one banner as part of a collective.
The album is available to download on Bandcamp for free, or any given donation price. You can also be sure to see the tracks on this album posted here on the site over the coming days and weeks, so stay tuned for our writeups on individual tracks!
Lorris – Starving | Dubstep
This Flutterchops-empowered Dubstep track from Lorris is fresh off the newly released Evening EP and delights with a solid progression and well-conducted drops full of heavy wubs and beautiful melodies. The whole EP is awesome and makes great use of pony vocal samples in every track in a different way, and that is definitely very much welcomed. Grab it if you haven’t already!
Suskii – Harmony | Dubstep
NB: This was originally posted on Equestria Daily on 10 January 2017.
Suskii is back with another banger of a dubstep tune. This one has a strong melodic focus in the intro, with some fantastic arpeggiation. The build up has some great use of Twilight’s vocals from the show, and the drop is full of some awesome heavy dubstep sound design. Suskii has quickly become one of the best exponents of dubstep in the fandom, and this track definitely shows why.
DJ RedSky – Vintage Diamonds | Indie Dance
I really don’t know if Indie Dance fits this or not, but it seems like an appropriate description for this kind of sound that DJRS is going for. With retro sounding synths and some great drums fills to fit with them too, this is a really chill piece filled with subtle elements that all do their own thing, but still bring it together as a whole track.
A Symphony Of Two – For The Greater Good | Orchestral
NB: This was originally posted on Equestria Daily on 10 January 2017.
A new orchestral release from A Symphony Of Two, For The Greater Good paints a picture of the sorrow that must have been felt by both sisters after Celestia’s imprisonment of Luna on the moon. With a solemn mood, and beautifully emotional climaxing of the piece towards the end, I’m very impressed by the flow of this one.
Celestial Throne – City Lights | Ambient
Considering they ‘specialise’ in metal, I was not expecting to see an ambient track from Celestial Throne. From what I gather, it was used as part of an “animatic” / storyboard with some, uh, dark themes (check the video description for that at your own discretion), but stands alone nicely as its own piece.
Almost Anyone & FritzyBeat – When the Winter Ends | Electro Pop
NB: This was originally posted on Equestria Daily on 9 January 2017.
It’s been a while since Fritzy’s teamed up with Almost Anyone for a pony track, and it’s certainly nice to have a new collab from them! Fritzy’s trademark vocal style works well with the heavy and happy electronic synth design of Almost Anyone, as they bring a track about Rainbow Dash and Tank.
