A new fine piece by MetalPony, this heavy Post-Hardcore track delivers a much heartfelt and refined tribute to Luna and the events of S05E13 Do Princesses Dream of Magic Sheep. Through both heavy and soft vocal parts, and an equally amazing instrumental, MetalPony lays out the story in much force and beauty. Once again, the power of fan music made toward an episode that moved you surfaces, and shines bright through the darkness!
Punk
[P@D] Luna Ticks – No Explanation | Punk Rock
Blissful bass, drums, and guitar play from Francis Vace merges with the best Punk Rock vocals from Quicksilver to create this delightful piece of Amity now coming with extra narky S1 Twilight greatness. Too often I feel like there is No Explanation for the otherworldly emotions that music can make you feel, and perhaps in the manner of Twilight at the end of Feeling Pinkie Keen, we should just seek solace in the reality of the fact, in this case letting the amazing vocals and top-notch instrumental enlighten the soul as our rock spirit takes us right in the middle of a gig in Equestria where this song is being played. Don’t forget to show your support to the musicians and thank them for this treat!
SlightlyAmiss & GuitarBrony13 – Mirage | Punk Rock
A rocking collaboration of shimmering wonders, SlightlyAmiss and GuitarBrony13 bring all the powerful riffs and the Punk vocals in this tribute to best pony from the EQG movies. Just imagine this being performed at some gig hall in Equestria! A mighty job and song from the musicians, be sure to show them your support!
Outside the Day – Chrysalis will Rise | Hardcore Punk
More badapple anthems incoming! Getting onto the Changeling Kingdom’s gig stage, Outside the Day performs a quite awesome Hardcore Punk song under Queen Chrysalis’ guidance to celebrate the execution of her malicious plan in the S6 finale. I can just imagine the audience of Changelings celebrating and cheering to the song along the mighty vocals!
[P@D] Francis Vace – Walls (covering Flak & NewPatrol) | Rock
This totally not confusingly-titled song by Francis Vace is…well, as it says in the thumbnail, a cover of NewPatrol’s remix of Flak’s song Walls. So kinda hitting 2 birds with one stone in terms of the specifications of the latest Ponies At Dawn album. Not only that, but it combines Vace’s 3 main styles of punk, ska and, more recently, metal. Really hitting all those birds, poor things…
Quicksilver – Cake Drunk | Punk Rock
NB: This was originally posted on Equestria Daily on 27 December 2016.
Quicksilver is back with another new fun heavy punk rock track that focuses on another silly topic, having already explored others such as socks and celestia’s presence in his washing machine earlier this year. This track focuses on Celestia’s totally-not-an-addiction to… dessert? It’s a pretty fun thing to sing about and it definitely comes across that Quicksilver had some fun with this.

Top Ten Pony Songs of November 2016 released!
Here’s the results of last month’s community vote for the top ten pony songs of November, enjoy!
Francis Vace – Everfree EP | Rock
Not for the first time, Francis Vace has made a nice little EP of cover songs, in a variety of his favourite styles. Last year he performed his favourites from the 3rd Equestria Girls movie, and now he’s taken on the 4th – Legend of Everfree. 4 songs from the film ranging in genre from punk to reggae, and of course with a bit of his signature ska sound twisted in here and there. If you’re a fan of his original work, you’re sure to enjoy his take on these songs too. And best of all, you can download it entirely for free from his bandcamp page!
The Wonderbolts Band – RAINBOW | Garage Rock
Rejoice everypony, The Wonderbolts are BACK with a new song, and this one is ready to ROCK the concert hall! A mighty ponification of Threshold from the fictional band Sex Bob-Omb, it pays tribute to The Rainbooms in much rock spirit, bringing those delightful Garage/Indie/Punk Rock vibes, in an amazing performance and along a very fitting music video made by the band’s drummer, Wootmaster. This is making you want to cheer for the band with a hoof in the air at the gig, or salute the members as you luckily spot them coming out of the garage rehearsal room and carrying their instruments in their cases! Show your support to The Wonderbolts, because this pony band is awesome, and keep rocking!
