May you be a socks enthusiast or not, it’s always good to be open-minded and tolerate what others like especially in a community like ours, that is the serious message that we can take from this not-so-serious yet awesome new release from pony band Luna Ticks. “Finally a fandom song about socks” I heard someplace, “This is absurd. I love it.” someplace else, for me this is a very enjoyable Punk Rock piece from skilled and based pony rock musicians which has a distinctive charm and additional layer of appreciation thanks to the choice of freely expressing a message about a theme that many of us can relate to inside the community, and that pertains to our liking for certain art and concept that emanate from our very community. Have fun, enjoy and respect, that should be one of our mottos!

Crusader! – We Made It! | Pop-Punk
Debuted recently at Trotcon, Crusader’s new song is a homage to the CMC, their quest to find their cutie marks, and what lies ahead for them. An anthem by any means, and a very fitting tribute to a standout episode of season 5!
Quicksilver – Close Again | Pop-Punk
It’s always a delight to find a song by Quicksilver in my subscriptions box, and Close Again was no exception! Not only is great to hear some glorious pop-punk (I’m currently re-living my teenage phase of taste in music), but also to have a song about Sunburst with such excellently written lyrics. Go take a listen to this, you won’t regret it.
StealingShad3Z – Hasbro Claimed Rights To This Song Title (feat. Francis Vace) | Pop-Punk
It’s one thing to make a parody of a particular song, another to parody stereotypical lyrics of a genre itself and write a tongue in cheek song about an issue the entire fandom will encounter from time to time. Catch this pop-punk track about Shady’s love/hate relationship with Hasbro, featuring Francis Vace on additional vox!

Lycan Dese Beats – Beats Me 2! | Album | Multi-Genre
Just over a year after the release of their first compilation album, Beats Me, Lycan Dese Beats has released a new album, consisting of entirely new and exclusive songs by the musicians they usually feature on their show. Similar to the Ponies at Dawn albums, this album offers songs from a grand variety of artists, however, this album has a greater non-electronic influence that you might expect, perhaps more all-rounded.

You may have seen him at the pony musicians panel at EFNW 2016, it’s P1K aka Pony1Kenobi, and he’s back with a delightful rock tune for us all to enjoy! Don’t forget, rather than getting blinded by the bliss of ignorance, always reach out to the truth! (bonus points to anypony getting that reference)

Looking for something completely left of field? The new Pinkamena Party album is now available, with even more grimdark and mature themes than ever before! Classic Pinkamena Party artists such as sc.Dave and Dynamite Grizzly return, with features from some more “manestream” artists discovering their darker side.
