Technickel Pony‘s self-described “retrospective of the feelings experienced at a con” has arrived. After his wonderful collab album with mycutiemarkisagun, he continues the trend of convention-themed project and brings along his signature flips of various funk tunes along for the ride. He does delve into various other genres on tracks like “The Dance Floor,” and the album features a wealth of vocals from Wootmaster, as well as a rap from Doodled. A great album for reminiscing or kicking back on a weekend, this is a very worthwhile listen!
Daniel Ingram – A Kirin Tale (Technickel Pony Flip) | Hip-Hop
Our friendly neighborhood Technickel Pony responded to the cuteness of the Kirin with a smooth beat chopping Autum Blaze’s vocals and presenting them in a unique way! The “flip” does wonders at reflecting Autumn’s personality, with carefree winds melodies and a very tender instrumental overall!
Acarcion – Thank You (prod. Technickel Pony) | Hip-Hop
Heartfelt rapping is the best rapping, and Acarcion did wonders by laying out verses written with love along a sweet instrumental by Technickel Pony and art by Namii! Taking inspiration from emotion from a pony con and feelings for fellow pony musician friends, Acarcion sings with heart and conviction and it makes for such a comfy and heart-warming song, filled with lovely references too. Try to spot them all without looking at the answers in the comments!

To see Synthis taking part in Ponies at Dawn albums is so wonderful as he’s known for very emotional pieces and unique vocals that are always so emotional too! For Enigma he gathered the vocal talents of J. Free and TheWanderingKit to perform with him, and it results in a very cool Chill Hop piece that’s to die for, with Synthis’ signature dreamy melodies and deep bass making for much emotion once more and carrying all vocals in such an epic way.
Yanamosuda – Little Energy | Album | Multi-Genre
Here is the perfect set of tracks for when you need to just unwind, or maybe want to have something on in the background while you are getting stuff done! Yanamosuda has compiled quite an interesting array of tracks blending the right amount of peacefulness and groove to both relax and keep you interested.
There are a healthy variety of genres inspiring the album that all touch on the chill theme. One thing you can be sure of is that each track will have it’s own compelling, jazzy bass that blends almost too well with an exciting drum beat.
The album is comprised of original mixes like the titular Little Energy and Dusk Song (which has an amazing funk rhythm!), remixes from show songs like the theme and Evil Enchantress, and finally remixes of fan music like Dawn Song from Kitsuneyu and Get Lady by eksoka (featured on Cider Party!) It is plain to hear from the album that Yanamosuda put a lot of time, thought, and effort into this tremendously unique album.

Aoshi – My Mirror Pool | Hip-Hop
Musical talent and beloved brony Aoshi returns in full force with a new song, rapping with conviction and emotion about his feelings, and his reflection into the Mirror Pool! The track also showcases emotional piano that fits so well to the concept of personal reflection. It feels so good to see him back, and in an awesome live action music video no less! We love you Aoshi, keep being yourself!
FilledSilhoutte – The New Form EP | Ambient
Beginning production in the community relatively recently, FilledSilhoutte’s eerie new EP is quite the intriguing experiment with soundscapes. The majority of it has some awesome experimentation with ambience and sound design, especially on the dystopic Hysteria. What exactly the “New Form” is is up to the listener, but, needless to say, it is beyond sinister. My personal favorite is the noisy, percussive Overthrown, which is chaotic and has a deceptively simple backing trap-inspired beat. I am beyond interested to hear more conceptual albums from FilledSilhoutte in the future, and you should be, too.
Ditherer – Loco Pommel (feat. N. Hollow) (prod. Riddim Man) | Hip-Hop
It’s so awesome that Ditherer contributed to the Nightmare Night party as well, with a full album titled Nightmare Night Nine! Loco Pommel is a fire collab with the one and only N. Hollow and showcases both lovely pony lyrics and mad rapping skills! Also on the album, Mirror Pool 2 Cypher is a spooky alternate version to the story of S03E03 Too Many Pinkie Pies and it works so well! Thingpone is an insane as it gets, and Ditherer also made his own versions of community classics, resulting in an epic Guncakes cover and September cover, inviting other rapper friends too! An overall awesome album and such a treat to have for Nightmare Night, and on all other days too! Grab it from Bandcamp!
