Quicksilver – Set Sail | Pop Punk / Emo-Pop

Amazing song coming from one of the hottest voices of the New Wave of Brony Punk – Quicksilver! The song about the episode P.P.O.V. (Pony Point of View) has awesome guitar riffs, good drum beats and the vocals are very similar to some modern pop punk / emo-pop acts. It’s a song full of energy and some guitars riffs are really atmospheric. Be sure to listen to this!

Elias Frost – Dance Magic (Covering Daniel Ingram) | Metal

Elias Frost is back to some more show song covers, with a nice video of the performance like he normally has alongside them. This is a somewhat heavy cover of Dance Magic from the Equestria Girls specials, and he’s done a good job of maintaining the feel of the original whilst giving it some of his own twists as well. Check it out below!

Sable Symphony – The Perfect Pair (feat. SlightlyAmiss & Rockin’ Brony) | Acoustic / Hard Rock

A lovely collab between these three artists merges acoustic and hard rock. Themed around Bright Mac and Pear Butter’s romance, it’s a very ballad-esque piece. The guitar-work is splendid, the vocals heartfelt. It gets in your head like a catchy song!

ShinZm – Mystical Corn Groove | Progressive Rock

“Gentlemen, I give you…MORE CORN!”

It’s fun, it’s silly, but it’s also pretty darn good. Get your fix of classic prog rock from Shinzm with this time-signature-changing bluesy piece that’s essentially a 4 minute guitar solo.

Totalspark – Friendship (covering Aviators) | Soft Rock

Aviator’s classic Friendship is still one of my favorite songs by him. Seeing Totalspark do a cover instantly put a big silly smile on my face. And boy oh boy, is it good. Totalspark’s classic sound design introduces an almost ambient feel. His slightly sad, sleepy, almost hypnotic vocals are at once emotional and relaxing. Truly a wonderful take on Friendship.

The L-Train – Fashion Victim (feat. Elias Frost) | Industrial Metal

The sixth and last chapter of the “With Friends / About Friends” series, The L-Train here collaborates with Elias Frost for an amazing Rammstein-sounding tune about Rarity. The visuals were inspired from the last Rammstein album Liebe Ist Für Alle Da and Elias Frost’s vocals are so similar to Till Lindermann vocals, it’s really amazing! Imagine if Elias sung this tune in German? It would be a complete Neue Deutsche Härte piece! The industrial keyboard sounds, the guitar riffs, the drums and awesome vocals are on fire, just like the rest of the series! If you are into Rammstein, Oomph! or Eisbrecher you should really check out this song!

[ASOS] Lunar Drift – Starlight | Alternative Rock

Lunar Drift has written a song about best pony, and I have the honor of reviewing it! Alternative Rock usually isn’t my thing, but Lunar Drift makes it very enjoyable. Starting with some samples of Starlight’s brainwashing in S5E01, it smoothly transitions into top-notch guitar playing. All throughout, the deliciously foreboding sense of impending danger remains, like the surveillance in Our Town.

Editor’s note: And if you like this, remember to check out the entire ASOS: Lollipop album!

[P@D] Elias Frost – The Greatest Hero Of The World | Metal

Huzzah! We’ve got ourselves a nifty song about Spike, who’s obviously the purest and greatest dragon hero ever. It’s about time Spike got some more love from this fandom. With pretty solid guitar riffs and it’s awesome lyrics, it’s sure to keep you rocking your hooves off. If anything, I could totally see this as a great fit for a Guitar Hero game. Now go share some of your affection to the greatest hero of the world!
