I wouldn’t call that an actualy genre myself, but then again, you can’t really pin this down to a set genre! RoyalX has given us his spin on Pinkie’s Present from A Hearth’s Warming Tail, it goes from poppy swing to trap to a tempo change with dubstep, go take a listen for yourselves!
Cosmic Kingdoms – Fashion Weak | Noise Pop
Originally released under Voltage’s solo name with Starlite as a featuring vocalist, Fashion Weak has been reworked by Cosmic Kingdoms for a new release. With a great little driving guitar riff and spliced vocals, all I have left to say is #BackItUp!
Baasik & BlackGryph0n – Academy (Chang31ing VIP Remix) | Trap
A very fitting release especially in light of the recent episode, Chang31ing gives a new spin to Academy in continuation of his original remix from 2014. The track feels fresh as wind blowing on your face and mane would feel while you soar higher, and the fast-paced vocals, the relentless flow of sounds and the powerful bass all contribute to the feeling.
Segments Of life – Party Effect | Post-Hardcore
Segments Of life rocks the house once again and this time with a Pinkie-themed track, titled Party Effect. Get those sweet electronic riffs served with Hardstyle and Post-Hardcore flavors, and a dash of Trap. No need to be on arsenic (reference intended) to be able to jam like Pinkie, sometimes a single track like this one, and fantasy, are all you need!
Seventh Element – Filthy | Trap
Get your krump* on kids, it’s time for some trap! Seventh Element’s got another one of his signature tracks for us as a Cider Party exclusive! Expect brass, vocal chops and some proper sub bass. (From a couple of days ago, but we’re catching up from a temporary downtime)
Apple Bloom, BlackGryph0n & Baasik – Getting Stronger (Baasik Remix) | Trap
The excellent Getting Stronger, a favorite of mine, gets the special treatment with this Trap remix from Baasik, as part of a new album by legendary brony BlackGryph0n and beloved CMC Apple Bloom (i.e. her voice actress Michelle Creber) that you can grab here. Revisit that all-time masterpiece with a Trap spin while waiting for the return of Chrysalis, Tirek or Sombra in the show!
PREY – RAGE | Trap
More music from PREY; I’m curious whether they make these songs really fast or if they’re from a backlog of tracks… Anyway, this latest song kinda falls somewhere between trap and big room house, an interesting combination to say the least.

Taking a slightly different approach to their music than usual, Starlight, the collab project between Proctra and PegasYs, are back with a new song. Instead of the usual Glitch-Hop we have this lovely chill trap piece, and tells the story of what could have happened after the Cutie Mark Crusaders got their marks. Prepare for alternate timelines and sad vocals as Starlight take you on an emotional journey with this song.
