Having met at a pony convention, rapper MC-Arch & orchestral composer Jyc Row decided to team up for a fusion of genres and this resulting collab is the token of the power of the union of talents and strong beliefs. Something Worth Fighting For, much in MC-Arch’s signature style and concept, warms the heart with its soothing yet powerful and heartfelt message conveyed through strong yet tender rapping, while the instrumentation by Jyc Row charms with its gentle melodies that are much reminding of traditional Japanese music even though played through his signature bagpipes.

Apple Bloom, BlackGryph0n & Baasik – Getting Stronger (Baasik Remix) | Trap
The excellent Getting Stronger, a favorite of mine, gets the special treatment with this Trap remix from Baasik, as part of a new album by legendary brony BlackGryph0n and beloved CMC Apple Bloom (i.e. her voice actress Michelle Creber) that you can grab here. Revisit that all-time masterpiece with a Trap spin while waiting for the return of Chrysalis, Tirek or Sombra in the show!
Vylet Pony – Manehattan’s Finest | Jazz
“Slightly inspired” by Hay Tea’s awesome track from the week before, Vylet brings some smooth jazz vibes that aren’t afraid to flex some hip hop influence. Featuring some great piano and trumpet work, check it out if you’re looking for something short and sweet.
DJT – Our Anthem | House
In preparation for DJT’s upcoming EP (available to pre-order here), we got one of the songs from it on Cider Party for an exclusive release! With fantastic vocal chopping and incredibly ♥ cute ♥ artwork, this song has definitely won me over. Can’t wait to hear the entire EP!
Jyc Row – Ebony Bloodrose, the Banished Necromancer | Orchestral
I have to admit, I’d never even heard of Buck: Legacy, the card game that this song is about…and no, it’s got nothing to do with the defunct convention either! This short but sweet piece about a character from the game follow Jyc’s usual orchestral style with hints of celtic and electronic influence.
PREY – RAGE | Trap
More music from PREY; I’m curious whether they make these songs really fast or if they’re from a backlog of tracks… Anyway, this latest song kinda falls somewhere between trap and big room house, an interesting combination to say the least.
Seventh Element – Phoenix (Rise) | Dubstep
Rising from the ashes once again, Seventh Element’s track “Phoenix” is reborn in its third iteration, following the original and initial VIP. The dubstep tune rocks the unusual 6/4 time signature atop a beat full of swing. It is well paced and stands out with some excellent vocal chopping.
NextLevelDerp – Horse Or Die EP | Electronic
NextLevelDerp seems to be getting out a new EP almost every month nowadays! This latest one brings both his talents and those of 3 friends together go make 4 new songs of varying levels of hardcore for you to enjoy. Catch the full post after the break.
Crusader! – Second Chance | Acoustic
Sometimes, all you need to make music is an acoustic guitar and your own voice…okay, a mic and recording software also help but that’s besides the point! This new song from Crusader! is a little tribute to last week’s episode, No Second Prances, and it’s just as pleasant to listen to as I would have expected!
Synthis – Dreamchaser Stargazer (Thomas Hood Remix) | Chill House
Although Thomas Hood may have stopped making pony-themed song, it’s great to see him remix one of Synthis’ ones! A birthday present for Sam, this remix puts a chill melodic house vibe on the original. Also, happy birthday to Synthis from all of us at the Horse Music Herald!
