From the charity album Seeds of Kindness 6 ~ A Change of Heart, this original and very creative piece from SDreamExplorerS sure conveys a lot of kindness through its soft instrumental full of tender guitar play. Much inspired, it lays out a nice groove in a masterful way, with bass, guitar and percussions all contributing to the heartwarming atmosphere.

Crusader – Airship | Dubstep
Brace yourselves everypony!! The pony airship is lifting off! Onward to our destination! A corrupted empire we have to fight! Or something like that. No I’m not crazy, and the J-RPG fans will sure understand the kind of airship this song is referencing. Coming along an awesome animation that truly gives proper honor to the concept, the inspired Dubstep banger displays a mighty beat with subtle Trap flavors, incredible vocal chops, sick wubs, and a melodic progression that just leaves you speechless. A masterpiece from Crusader, and a personal favorite of mine!
MetalPony – I’ll Fly (Covering Daniel Ingram) (feat. Djohn Mema) | Metal
This time taking on the emotional I’ll Fly, MetalPony delivers an awesome and rocking cover full of powerful guitar riffs and lovely vocals, and with drums empowered by Djohn Mema. A wonderful take on the memorable song that moved the community and inspired so many pony musicians!
Dynamite Grizzly – Greater Dawn | Hard-Tech
Starting off with a rather holy sounding melodic vocal hook and jungle-style drum roll you’d expect this track to be a delicious foray into Drum & Bass. However, the track quickly opens up into a much more decadent mix of hardcore meets hard-tech. The further addition of Arabic inspired instruments and Heavy Rock guitars makes this track a very unique listening experience. The seemingly incompatible sounds work very well together making the track just as pleasant to listen to as it is uncommon.
TCB – Keys & Cuts EP | Electronic
Hearing a new song from TCB is fantastic enough, but having an entire EP is quite the treat. I didn’t really know what to expect going into it, but it really has a perfect variety of songs that all contain really unique vocal chops! I love the fact that there are vocal chops of characters you don’t hear vocal chops of often in here, really makes each song iconic! Read more about it after the break.
Liquid Harmony – Despair | Orchestral / Piano
As you might expect from the title, this is a melancholic orchestral piece that starts with a sad piano motif, accompanied by some lovely atmospheric string pads. The progression remains consistent, and slowly builds in tension, yet the transitions remain subtle, like a train of thought. Inspired by AshleyH’s “Remembrance” series, its a mournful piece for Princess Cadance having lost a loved one.
Ataraxia – Sunspot Lullabies | Piano Solo
Written as a lullaby from Celestia to Luna, we have an appropriately soothing, and loving piano improv from Ataraxia. We don’t get enough of these in the fandom, and Ataraxia is no stranger to them! The video description does a great job of setting the scene, give it a listen!
Nevermourn – Clear Skies | Drum & Bass
Nevermourn is a pretty new musician, with this being only the second release on their channel, and it’s always cool to see new people coming through the ranks! The mixing here is pretty clean, as some lovely steady and smooth percussion and quiet rolling bass set the scene behind some cute plucks and lovely pads. There are also some very nice reverse fills which I’m always a fan of. Give it a listen if you want some smooth drum & bass vibes in your system!
Daniel Ingram – You’ll Play Your Part (Elias Frost Swedish Cover) | Folk Metal
NB: This was originally posted on Equestria Daily on 13 March 2017.
You’ll Play Your Part is one of my favourite songs from the show, and Elias Frost has done it up in a pretty awesome way! With Swedish vocals, and a terrific build throughout the piece, this is certainly an awesome rendition. Starting out pretty soft and folk-sounding, it steadily gets more metal through the piece, as Elias’ voice helps to build the tension too. The breakdown at 2:35 when it all comes together is especially gratifying.
[P@D] Mantlegen – Rejoin | Mashup / Dubstep
This track from Amity sure made the live release party go crazy! Using past P@D songs and blasting from Vinyl’s mighty bass canon for the occasion, it creates drops of multiplied intensity, with Nowacking as Vinyl Scratch uplifting the mood some more. A masterpiece of a mashup!
