DivinumX is always good for some hard-hitting metal and for Ponies at Dawn: Skyward, he brings his ‘A’ game! Kindling is the story of Rainbow Dash telling how she started in the shadow of greatness, longing to be one of the greats who casts that shadow in front of a kindling flame. The vocal work is just incredible, perfecting utilizing the spectrum of techniques from clean singing, guttural screams, and chill-inducing harmonies. The guitar work is fantastic, pairing incredibly with the double pedal bass on the powerful drums making for an all-around top-level song!

Unexpected remixes are the best! And this one is definitely full of emotion, following that of the momentous original by Brilliant Venture! The soft and cudly atmosphere does wonders at extending the emotional vibes, and the incredible pony vocal chops get sublimated once more and in a brand new electronic arrangement, to our greatest delight! Awesome work TheBluishPony!

Tripon is at it again with a really heavy and dark track leading in with just an unsettling melody and a wide open space I was expecting something unnerving already, but the vocal sampling and editing is insane and the complex rhythms carve a way for pure chaos and insanity. What I especially like, is the transition halfway through. Everything fades out and you’re left with nothing but the void, from here we get a switch from halftime drums to a more common time rhythm which accelerates the urgency ever more and in combination with all the other intricacies it really is one of my favourite tracks from Tripon and I’m certain you will get a thrill out of it!

F 109 always brings something mysterious and cryptic to the table and this is no exception! From Ponies At Dawn’s recent album Skyward inspired a nostalgic nigtmare from many moons ago Stehekin opens up with a foreboding organic atmosphere laden with a very immersive soundstage and is heavy with an indigenous or ethnic vibe. Theres also a really nice shift of mood by the end where the electronic grit bubbles to the surface and really brings back the tense emotion felt throughout the piece. Awesome work as always F 109 and can’t wait to see whats next!
[P@D] BlackIceMusic – Updraft | Melbourne Bounce
There’s nothing like a good Melbourne Bounce track! The springy style is so much fun to bop along with and it is no surprise that BlackIce is a prominent feature on the new Ponies at Dawn: Skyward! Updraft draws nicely from Spitfire’s chops from the “Wonderbolt Academy” and “Top Bolt” episodes which adds great intensity of the track. The lead is super catchy and the beat is inescapable – a fantastic track to get you up and moving!
[P@D] Silva Hound & VooDoo – Blindsided | Hybrid Trap
Silva Hound teams up with the bass beast himself, VooDoo for a new, hard-hitting trap hit! Featured on the newest Ponies at Dawn: Skyward, Blindsided is an awesome homage to the dazzlings and even features some vocal chops from Wubcake! The track has a little bit of everything form soft ambient sections to full on crazy breakdowns – a great demonstration of versatility from such a talented crew!
Chiptune Brony – Spike Vs. Queen Chrysalis | Soundtrack
Mad choirs and organ are immersing us in a last boss battle in this new OST-inspired track by Chiptune Brony! More precisely inspired by Motoi Sakuraba‘s battle themes, he provided another nostalgic and blissful experience for us OST lovers in the community, with those signature melodic and progressive aspects! StableTwoStallion – Chrysalis | Industrial Gothic Metal / Neue Deutsche Härte
My Heart Burns for Chrysalis! The Rammstein fans among you who can translate their German titles might get that reference, and just in time for StableTwoStallion’s “Neue Deutsche Härte” track that feels just like Rammstein’s take on a pony song! The lyrics and vocals are so perfect and make the track so nostalgic, and the top-notch instrumental isn’t lacking of Industrial tasty riffs and Gothic keyboard play either!
Altius Volantis – Pink Dreams | Chillout
Altius’ streak of lovely pony songs continues, this time with a mellow and very cute Pinkie song! The Chillout atmosphere is perfect to depict the love that Pinkie feels for everypony, and the vocal samples are making her even more present in the track, to our greatest delight! It is part of Altius’ upcoming Equestrian Journey EP!
