Tw3Lv3 – Tsukimi | Lo-Fi

Making his debut on the Cider Party channel is Tw3Lv3 with the Asian-inspired Tsukimi! Track 11 from his debut album Release, this banger showcases his usual lo-fi style with the addition of a sampled guzheng that plays harmonic and fretted notes, giving it an Asian feeling as well as making the whole track seem a lot more organic. The whole track is built around the same melody, with little variations here and there, such as the middle where the guzheng is filtered out and the bass takes over. A little change can add a lot in the long run. Release has been, well… released since November 13th, so check it out!

Daniel Ingram – The Magic of Friendship Grows (Ardhy Mahardhy Remix) | Progressive House

Many wonderful remixes of the song from the show’s finale have come out and it’s Ardhy’s turn to treat us with their take on The Magic of Friendship Grows. The track opens and closes with emotional and creative vocal chops that sound really sweet, and the middle section comprises two clean drops. The intensity of the nostalgic feels only matches that of the greatness of a tribute this remix is.

strigidae – pink horse plays trombone | Indie Dance

The elusive strigidae has returned yet again. He rarely posts music (his channel has only 5 tracks from late 2016 onward, for example), but when he does, it’s a real treat. This track showcases his usual indie style as a tribute to Pinkie’s wind instrument skills from the trombone to the yovidaphone, even going as far as to feature riffs from a trumpet towards the end. strigidae’s voice is a unique one in the fandom, which cuts through this song like a knife. Don’t miss out on this one!

General Mumble & Koa – BBDFF | Indie Dance

It wouldn’t be a General Mumble track without something creepy. In the same vein as Couldn’t You Just Simply Die? from way back, this collab between Mumble and Koa is a creepy electronic beat with edited vocal samples from the show – specifically Twilight’s BBBFF song – to add new lyrics, adding a dark twist to Twilight’s relationship with her older brother. Nightmare Night may be over, but the creepiness isn’t ending anytime soon.

[ASOS] Cynifree & Reverbrony – Void Walker | Synth Rock

Another Cynifree track? I’ll take it. Track 35 from ASOS: Waffle is a collab between the aforementioned Cynifree and Reverbrony. What follows is a six minute long 80s style electronic piece with the addition of a distorted guitar provided by Reverb as the finishing touch to an already great piece. If these two were to work together in the future after this, I’d be down to see it!

Alexey Kotlyar – Twidance | Orchestral / Soundtrack

A very cute track from Alexey, this Twilight-themed Orchestral beauty also has some Soundtrack vibes, as it would make such a fine BGM to have playing during a light-hearted, “Twilight being cute” scene in some RPG game. The various instruments and the melodies are paying much tribute to Twilight and “Twidance” is such an apt name for this song!

7th Stive – Skylight | Drum & Bass / Breakbeat

A rich and deep soundscape is awaiting you in this track that definitely is savored best with headphones. The Applejack vocal samples along that Limestone cover art is making me wonder if this wouldn’t be about the events of that episode when Applejack visited the rock farm for Hearth’s Warming and screwed up. The tasty bass and clean beats will keep you grooving that’s for sure!

Daniel Ingram – The Magic of Friendship Grows (HittCell Remix) | Drum & Bass

A mellow and reflective atmosphere is welcoming you with open hooves along heavenly DnB beats in this remix of the finale’s song by HittCell that definitely emphasizes on emotion. The gorgeous piano melodies work so well to extend the vibes of the original song, and this is such a wonderful and heart-warming tribute!

Daniel Ingram – Light of Your Cutie Mark (Sam Quak Brony Remix 2) | Melodic Dubstep

Sam Quak Brony builds upon his original remix of Light of Your Cutie Mark with this VIP. The atmosphere at the top of the song feels fresher and more ethereal, the chiptunes (and the mix in general) are sharpened, the first drop’s leads are more evocative, and the second’s dubstep growls are even more ferocious. Sam Quak doesn’t have too many subscribers at the moment, so don’t let this killer remix fly under your radar, bassheads!

Seventh Element – Nasty Dreams | Bassline

Nasty Dreams is a dazzling bassline track coming from Seventh Element. This aggressive bassline comes packed with a funky intro, followed by 808 rims, dreamlike vocal samples, and hi-hats weaving themselves in and out of the garage-like kick and snare. And of course, the meat, the mountainous and sweeping lines of the deep saw bass backed by nasty subs provides its frenzied element. Don’t miss out on the interlude, a breakdown of sampled and harmonically stacked synths, until the final bars of the last drop, reminding you of this song’s rave-like nature.
