It is 2023 and Eurobeat Brony’s famous track “Luna” still reigns as one of the most popular songs in the fandom, spawning many remixes and covers over the years, including Forest Rain’s ever-popular “Luna (Alt Mode)” that brought us a special fresh take to the original Eurobeat track in the “Rock” side of music. It is this version that inspired ShowShovel to make their original cover at the end of 2020 with a fresh vocal recording from Forest Rain, and this new “2023” version as well. ShowShovel really is one of the most talented guitar players in the fandom, from sweet, melodic style on parts like the introduction/solo guitar parts, to his deliciously punchy guitar sounds on the classic secondary melodies, and even the fast-paced driving melodies in-between. I still can’t get over that increasing drive at the end of the piece where it keeps going up to the next step in the bar. As far as I am aware, that wasn’t present in any of the previous two versions of the “Alt Mode,” but it fits perfectly before the melodic fall at the end. I know SnowShovel mentioned that it is hard for them to make music these days, but I hope they keep going strong and produce more amazing pieces like this one in the future.

4EverfreeBrony – Birdsong (feat. Relative1Pitch) 10th Anniversary Edition | Pop Rock
4EverfreeBrony is among the oldest musicians in the fandom, with his first pony song, Birdsong, originally released way back in 2013. This new version, released a full 10 years after the original, is an amazing testament to just how far he has progressed as an artist. “Birdsong” is a deceptively simple, yet beautiful piece, with lighthearted instrumentation coupled with 4Everfree’s smooth vocals and a catchy chorus that is sure to get stuck in your head. In addition, keeping with the theme, the track also features a creative whistling section, not unlike the melodic calls of actual birds. Whether this is the first time you’re hearing it, or if you’re a long time fan of 4EverfreeBrony, this uplifting track is sure brighten your day, bringing to mind images of prancing through a gorgeous forest as the sun’s warming rays peak through the canopy!
Velvet R. Wings – Disillusion | Chillout / Folk
Velvet R. Wing’s “Disillusion” is a haunting tune. Velvet’s gorgeous vocals carry the song, starting with just a hum that turns into a wistful verse about loss, changing times, and the need to move on and “fly away.” Her voice is met with the poignant sound of the harp, crisp percussion, and a few synths here and there, all reverberates though a massive space. The overall sound is eerie and transcendental, capturing the tone of the lyrics beautifully. It’s sooo nice!
Daniel Ingram – Let the Rainbow Remind You (L-Train Remix feat. Dionte George, SaxPon3, Zephysonas & Tavern Cat Records Remix) | Jazz / Electro Swing
Did someone say mega collab? As the finale of his remix album “Everypony” L-Train tackled the Season 4 finishing song, and along the way he picked up a whole horn section! Featuring the likes of Dionte George, SaxPon3, Zephysonas and Tavern Cat Records, this track is a remix full of fun melodies, the fun vocals from the original and a whole lot of horns and hearts! L-Train has really mastered the sounds of Electro Swing, and who can say no to some amazing live instruments! This song is a massive bop and definitely does the original justice, go have listen and enjoy this combination of poppy vocals, upbeat electronic melodies and classical instruments!

Today I got a special gem for you! Blurain has just recently hit 100 subscribers and he put a massive banger to celebrate! “Another Day, Another Challenge” is a track dedicated to our favourite yellow pegasus, exploring her everyday live and struggles with an upbeat melody, and interesting lyrics, some of them people are probably gonna relate to quite a lot. This track definitely gets a big recommendation, not just for Rock fans but for everyone, so give it a listen and enjoy!
The Wilders – Everything Is Gonna Be OK (SAWMASTER REMIX) | Happy Hardcore
Well, the remixes for this track just keep on coming, and there has yet to be a bad one! And of all the bootlegs this one might just take the cake! It has the usual stuff that makes Happy Hardcore awesome: Smashing base, a vibrant synth to get your head bopping and fast paced, upbeat kicks, but wait, there’s more! The whole of the lyrics are pitched up by a semitone, making for a unique and entertaining sound, we get a little extended intro section at the beginning, and if you listen closely you can even hear woodwinds accenting the melody, making for a stunning bit of uniqueness that’ll stay in your head for quite some time! All in all this track is a big recommendation for everyone, no matter your tastes this track is gonna entertain you!
PrinceWhateverer – [CODE PHANTOM] (Destabilize Pt.4a) | Metal
PrinceWhateverer’s latest release is a raging tune about every pony’s favorite fake filly, Sweetie Bot! The track begins with bouncy chiptune arpeggios before devolving into the heavier guitars and drums. Throughout, you’ll hear lyrics filled with tons of programmer lingo intermixed with the sounds of warning alarms, breaking out occasionally into unique sections that contain glitches galore or incredible piano flourishes! It’s an incredibly energetic tune that you definitely don’t want to miss!
PSFMer – Boulder | Footwork
Footwork, certainly something unexpected, but it’s always fun to discover something new! The track is pretty much an amazing mish mash of whatever came to PSFMer’s mind. The genre itself draws from ghetto house with influences of hip hop and drum and bass thrown in for flavouring. Boulder draws from Maud’s rock poems to achieve rapidfire staccato sample patterns. Honestly this track is amazing to listen to just from how creative it is, and discovering a new genre along the way is a nice bonus, so have a listen and take a deep dive into this new genre, you wont regret it!
Vylet Pony – Antonymph (Acid Applejack Remix) | Happy Hardcore
Today Acid Applejack gives us this amazing remix of Vylet Pony’s fandom classic “Antonymph”, and what a banger this remix is! The whole song has the amazing melody of the original, combined with some fun drums, ran through a bopping synth and of course featuring some hard hitting Happy Hardcore Kicks! The remix gives the whole song new life in a different genre, and as a little bonus we get the extended version including some intro kicks, perfect for all your DJing needs!
rawrity – need to go home ft. SOUND BANDIT | Pop
rawrity’s back with the latest installment in a series of tracks about their OC looking for and meeting Pinkie Pie! “need to go home” nails that bittersweet sound with its chord progression and several moments where the instrumental drops out, leaving us with just reverb, the echo of a moment passed. The pony chops in the background are a delight, the lyrics make great use of imagery, and SOUND BANDIT’s vocals always bring in some extra hyperpop energy. Great work you two!
