MC-Arch – Green | Lo-Fi / Hip-hop
Be ready to put your thinking cap on with this one from MC-Arch. He states that times have changed in the past four years within this community. His rhymes speak a great deal of reality for us, in addition to the perspective of his life, setting the tone with this track. A reflective beat pulls you into his message that life has been cruel and unkind to many these last few years, undeniable in these bars – the emotion of the delivery brings out all the feels. But this is Arch we are talking about; as the beat shifts, he turns that struggle into how much he has endured, overcome and inspires others to regain power and control destiny. Soft tones of the MLP theme pays homage to the people around him who supported him during challenging times. This is something special, even by MC-Arch’s standards. Sylvver – Purple Scare 2023 | Big Room House
If anyone within the music community has grown leaps and bounds as of late in their production, it is Sylvver. If you listen to their original track crafted in 2021, it is no surprise why she made a huge splash this year with their first featured track on P@D Wanderlust! This remix focuses on Starlight Glimmer role as Twilight’s rival in season 5. Oh, what could have been if she stayed a villain the whole series, huh? You can feel that spite and venom fuelling Sylvver’s big, popping melodies on this track. Don’t just take my word for it! Listen for yourself, and you’re bound to have a fun time enjoying the vibe and vocal chops of Starlight’s ego, especially all you Glimmer Gang fans!
Direct Current – Evening Gloom | Ambient
It’s often agreed that listening to ambient music is a fantastic method of relaxing, and Direct Current’s new ambient track “Evening Gloom” exactly shows why. As you hear the calm ambient pad rolling in, you immediately feel a range of sensations as if the sound of the river is flowing across your body and the angelic voices are singing near your ears. I really adore how the tranquil environment and serene harmony are well combined to paint a peaceful, undisturbed scene. Whether you’re looking for a moment to put away your stress or just enjoying the music of nature, this track is definitely a great choice for your playlist. Gorgeous work!
Daniel Ingram & Lena Hall – The Spectacle (Koa Remix) | Hands Up
Well, I’m always happy when remixes to old G4 classics show up, and as always Koa does not disappoint! We get the amazing vocals almost straight from the get go, and the melody instantly catches you and has your head bopping along and the first switch up is not to far out either! The song truly shines in both its verses and its drops, showing amazing variations all throughout and it stays upbeat and entertaining the whole way through!
Harmpony – Regretful Future of Snowfall Frost | Orchestral
If you’re looking for something epic to listen to, this orchestral tune by Harmpony is exactly the go-to. As you march into a freezing blizzard, these intense and lively hits of an orchestra complement each other to fabricate an epic, menacing battlefield, greeting you with a frigid but mysterious atmosphere. But the story doesn’t end there as this masterpiece suddenly drifts into a regretful, melancholic vibe elicited by various solo instruments. The soundtrack absolutely nails the rich variety of atmospheres, and whether or not you enjoy epic orchestral music, you can surely feel the vibrations through the fierce and spirited sounds. Rarity Vrymer Collective – Rarity Investigates (VIP) | Dubstep
Well then, this certainly was a surprise I didn’t see coming! Starting out with entire spoken lines from the Equestria girls special with some lovely melodies the song at first seems to focus a lot on official vocals, but other then the intro you get one more bit of official lines, and other then that it’s just pure dubstep beauty! The song has everything from smooth melodies, drum builds, vocal builds and fills, and incredibly fun and energy filled drops, in simplest terms the track is six minutes of pure power and never stopping fun, and not a second seems boring or repetitive!
HaNaVa – Not Much to Miss (covering 4Everfreebrony & EilyMonty) | Pop Rock
Coming out of nowhere HaNaVa brings us this amazing covering of a 4Everfreebrony classic, performing/recording everything except the drums live, and it sounds wonderful! It’s no secret that covers aren’t easy to do, but HaNaVa definitely nailed it! Managing a stunning sound in the instruments and gorgeous vocals they absolutely did the original justice and I’m looking forward to more from them!
elameaa – MOONBOW | House
Sometimes one of these tracks comes along and you find yourself smiling and comfortable. Elameaa, with a bit of help from SpinScissor, brings you a beat and presentation that will have you delighted. This track is well-edited and composed with catchy vocal chops of the darling of Gen 5, Izzy Moonbow. Old fans of the brony music scene might feel very nostalgic for its pleasing melodies and Izzy’s bubbly and quirky nature. I promise you will be smiling after a bad day with this track! As always, this Qilin asks you to judge for yourself.
EveryDayDashie – Spring Festival Encore 新春欢腾 | Epic Orchestral / World
It’s always a treat to hear the My Little Pony lick in a different musical style & on different instruments, especially when it is styled & mixed together with something as epic as traditional Chinese orchestra & musical storytelling. EveryDayDashie seems to reward us with a new style for every one of their songs, this time focusing more on a traditional Chinese style. But don’t let the name or style throw you off, this track is more than Chinese orchestral as we know it, adding non-traditional Chinese instruments to the mix like the unification of cultures; I still can’t get over the electric guitar stealing the show like the dramatic tension in a narrative. This song definitely felt like I was in the middle of a festival for sure, celebrating traditions of both past & present, and most importantly, giving us that feeling of a complete story.
