SpinScissor is no stranger to experimentation an he is back with a minimalistic and spacey house track. ‘no mates’ is adorned with an array of different sound samples from conversations to ringing phones and detuned synths, coupled with a snappy bassline. It exudes a lo-fi aesthetic in its production and its visuals. A tale of the turbulence of life and past friendships and hopeful lasting friendships, this one is an interesting listen for sure!

Koron Korak – A Moment Of Peace [Chillout]
Koron has taken a more chilled out route than a lot of his other recent music with this track. Featuring gentle percussion and some bright synth design, the Zouk-influenced moombah beat is built on top of with plenty of nice composition throughout. The piano and woodwind-style instrumentation is definitely a highlight.

2 songs for the price of 1! This mashup cover from 2020 finally gets its own release to celebrate the long-awaited release of RE:MAKE’s ELEMENTS album (don’t worry, we’ll get round to posting that in time)! 4EFB’s rendition of these two fandom classics has a bit of an “unplugged” feel to it. The heavy electronic drums from the former and distorted guitars from the latter make way instead for acoustic guitar, brushed drums and I believe a cello. Nyanakaru – Purification | Riddim
The artist formerly know as Nyancat380 is back with another genre-fusing banger! What starts off as a chilled jazzy tune with a bit of a lo-fi feel transforms faster than you can say “changeling” into a deep, screeching riddim bassline. I love seeing this kind of stylistic mashup and generally just more jazz influence in brony music; I hope to see more of this kind of thing from Nyanakaru in the future!
