Yep, yep, this is exactly what you think it is, and it is amazing! This is a giant joke track if you haven’t figured it out yet, and the lyrics make that clear as day, but let’s start at the beginning. The track starts out with “Bing Bong” vocal chops and the melody slowly rising up from muffled to full-on pumping. As we get a melody change the amazing vocals by Steely Hooves set in telling of how unicorns once were and how powerless they are now. We get a hilarious chorus all about the four forbidden words, and right after that we get yet another fun bit of melody accompanied by some fun vocal chops and then some instrumental parts. After the wonderfully funny chorus we get straight back into another verse, this time focused on the judgement that ponies are passing because of what the unicorns used to be followed once again by the hilarious chorus. We end this wonderful piece on some more awesome melodies and vocal chops, providing a fun bit of variety from beginning to end! Proofread by theCANderson, all the thanks to him!
Who said that now that G5 has officially begun that we can’t have more fire remixes of G4 classics? Snow Swirl tackles a song a lot of people love from an episode that a lot of people really enjoyed, but before I get sappy about the past let’s take a look at this masterpiece! We start out with not too much beat, which is something that I always love to see, because the beat has time to build and doesn’t hit you like a freight train. As the beat grows, the vocals slowly break through and take center stage, and I don’t think I have to tell you how great the lyrics are. Soon we get into our first build up, and here is where the DnB elements start to shine. Then we get to the drop, and the drop is a wonderful love letter to all things DnB and an absolute pleasure for your ears. A bit into the drop we also get some vocal chops that fit the arrangement really well. After the drop we get to Rainbow’s part of the song, accompanied mostly by a stupendous acoustic guitar melody, and then, continuing with that same melody, we get to Rarity’s part. Afterwards we get this stunning string melody that you’d expect to hear in an orchestral piece. Then, in a moment that completely surprised me, the strings combine with the beat and the vocals to create this uplifting, inspirational part that goes straight into the drop in a wonderful display of Snow Swirl’s musical skill. The drop once again works with vocal chops, but this time around the focus lies more on the upbeat DnB melody. We end on a combination of the drop and the lovely acoustic guitar. To celebrate Nightmare Night BGM has given us a very special track, and what more appropriate genre could there be for such a song than Spookystep? The track starts with a classic organ melody together with some spooky howling and a bit of beat before, out of nowhere, there’s this big beat change into a hasty melody, and suddenly it’s as if you’re running away from some unseen evil. We then get into yet another beat change and end up with a more upbeat, groovy beat and some great lyrics about there’s no way to run away. After this first verse comes an awesome and fun chorus followed straight by the next fun verse with all the vocals being delivered by the Mane Six courtesy of TalkNet, which is a wonderful touch! We end this whole thing on some more groovy melodies and one more iteration of the chorus. Proofread by theCANderson, send him all the love!
Today SYLVVER brings us this amazing Big Room track all about Starlight and her village. The track starts out with some vocal chops from the episode “The Cutie Map” and an excellent Big Room beat. After a bit we get into this fun build up and then jump right into the first drop. This drop is awesome–it is everything you want from a Big Room drop and more! Afterwards we get into a very fun second beat that has this really cheery vibe and quickly pumps the energy up to 120%. Once again we get vocal chops from the Mane Six before we move into the build up and yet another mind blowing drop that is just as amazing as the last. We end this wonderful track with some more vocal chops and a fantastic melody. Proofread by theCANderson, send him some love!
Well, this is one hell of a fun track from CAPT that will have you all jumping, so let’s get straight into it! The track starts out in full-on Happy Hardcore vibes, and soon we get this happy, upbeat kawaii-ish melody as the Happy Hardcore elements build up more and more straight into the drop! The drop is a wonderful explosion of all thing Happy and Hardcore and upbeat and kawaii, and this one lasts for a good while, even building up into a drop inside the drop, something I’ve personally only seen once before and really enjoy. The track keeps on cranking as this one mega drop continues all the way to the end and never loses its cheery, happy sound, which works surprisingly well because it’s just so much fun! We end this masterpiece of cheeriness and happiness on an outro beat that brings the whole thing to a satisfying end with one final build up straight into the end. Here’s a fun bit of music that could have come straight from your local creepshow, and it delivers the creepy-yet-fun aura of Nightmare Night in a really fitting way setting a great tone early on. However, after a bit, the creepshow goes silent, and in its place comes an eerie piano melody accompanied first by ghostly voices and then also by some stunning strings that really fill out the song well. We ride on in chilling style until we get a slight change of melody that pumps the creepiness up to 120% before the song suddenly comes to an end. Proofread by theCANderson, all the thanks to him!
Today we have an awesome song off of A State of Sugar’s newest album “Eclair”, and once again MirroredReality delivers an absolute masterpiece! The track starts out with some fun Trance melodies and then does a beat switch into this gorgeous melody that is sure to mesmerize you. Suddenly, out of nowhere, comes a build up followed by an awesome drop that will get you out of your chair and jumping! The drop is followed by some more fun melodies that seem to just radiate the energy straight from the Everfree Forest, and then we get some more lead into the build up and a drop that is as fun as the one before. We end this absolute amazing masterpiece with the drop slowly fading into a fun outro melody. As always proofread by theCANderson, all the thanks to him!
Well, I certainly didn’t expect this oldschool track to get another remix, but it’s definitely a welcome surprise! OnlyJustCrazy gives this song their very own touch, and the final product is just fantastic! The remix starts out quickly and doesn’t wait long to drop us straight into the vocals, and the early beat is a calmer one that supports the vocals really well. The instrumental builds up bit by bit as the vocals subside for a moment and then come straight back in. After that the beat and melody disappear for a short while only to come back even better! What I also want to mention is that the song uses a bunch of fake build ups that don’t actually lead to drops and give the whole song a really nice feel! We end this fun ride with the entire song slowly fading out. Proofread by theCANderson, go send him some love!
(Listen to the original here!) I was speechless when I listened to this remix, ASOS: Eclair is known for its rich and deep Orchestra tracks, but WOW! this is glorious. Zythiria track that was pretty in the first place, has transformed the telling of Winter Storm’s quest to save her home. The build-up with that piano’s, strings, the beat of those war drums! That blow of those woodwinds in the background synth. It grows in pure instance power, making you want to give a war cry that you will succeed! As always, this qilin asks you to judge for yourself! Into a melody fitting for a fantasy epic movie.
Japkozjad decided to create a short and very fun dubstep track for this year’s Nightmare Night. The track starts out with a simple beat and some spoken lyrics courtesy of the musician himself! After the vocals end we get dropped straight into the build up in all its dubstep-y glory, and the drop is exactly what you would expect! Wonderful wubs, evil laughs, and a great melody comprise this drop of dubstep perfection, but like all good things, this song (clocking in at only a minute fifteen seconds) comes to an end (seemingly too soon) right after the drop. Proofread by theCANderson, all the thanks and love to him!
