More trance from eksoka can only mean that good times are around the corner, and this time we’ve got a CMC-inspired piece from them about going on an adventure. There’s heaps of awesome classic trance-y vibes throughout the track with super cool use of vocal chops to add some atmosphere to the piece as it winds through some lovely melodies.
If you like creative use of clips from episodes, then this round of cider will be to your taste! It was inspired by S06E12 Spice Up Your Life and it’s full of flavor as per The Tasty Treat’s tradition! Lovely use of both vocal and SFX clips from the episode is complementing an instrumental and sound design work from under the counter, and HACKD displays once more how pony passion and hard work make the magic happen.
My favorite track from A State of Sugar Bubblegum is what I believe is a very fine example of the otherworldly power of pony vocal chops, and Passion. Covering the original melodies from TCB‘s original track in a brand new genre and different progression, R3CTIFIER took a certain vocal part from the original and decided to focus on it for this remix. That was quite the amazing vision, as those certain chops from Your Heart Is in Two Places, along that newly crafted atmosphere, are precisely what is triggering so much emotion when I listen to it, to the point that I can’t help but tear up. We love those characters, so hearing their voices like this is very powerful… or so seems to be the logic behind this phenomenon. In any case, I’ll always be grateful to life, and to musicians like R3CTIFIER and TCB for making such powerful emotions happen..!
Fresh from the A State of Sugar: Bubblegum Album BlackIceMusic gives us this funky and fresh gem. Melbourne bounce is something we could always use more of and they nailed the feel perfectly. There is quite a bit going on here and the sprinkling of vocal chops and samples alternating from “sweet to sour” really brings out the sass while keeping things cute and all in all is a great piece to sample from the album.
If you didn’t know of Burning Halo before, congrats, you just got a new awesome subscription to add! Abandoned shows the musician’s fine rock tastes, with tasty drums play and aggressive riffs near the end of the song, all while sustaining fresh Pop-Punk vibes all throughout. An awesome tribute to Starlight’s past and character depth!
Single Purpose’s music seems to be pretty consistently cool, and this tune builds upon his initial releases on his channel in all the right ways. Melding together soft piano and strings with a consistent flow given through the percussion, there’s also a nice use of vocal samples to add some atmosphere.
Fresh off the newest ASOS album, Suskii brings us some chillstep! It’s much softer than his usual content, and very relaxing to listen to. Give this sweet little song a listening-to!
Steely Hooves Is back with this great piece that explores the interesting relationship between two of our favourite pegasi. The guitar work here is just lovely, and its backed by some simple percussion that complements it very well. I especially like the vocals here, they are relaxed and smooth, but there is a very strong voice behind them. Keep up the great work Steely.
One of my faves from A State of Sugar Bubblegum, Cavorting the Castle takes inspiration from the kind of BGM you’d hear in castle-like areas in RPG games, with fitting regal and medieval vibes, and hints of a playful side too! Heartsong (formerly DoctorSympony) displays their talent once more by perfectly emulating that style using various instruments, and creating a piece that would fit so very well as an OST track.
Each new release from Jackie Lombardi is always such a sweet and sugary treat, may it be part of one of A State of Sugar’s compilation albums or not! This much appreciated contribution to Bubblegum delivers delightful Flutterchops along happy and bright vibes, and marimbas for extra fun. Time for a colorful musical trip into a world of many wonders, courtesy of Jackie!
