Nicolas Dominique – Rocket to the Sky | Trance

With the advent of what has been widely acclaimed as the best official MLP figurine ever, and yet another acknowledgement and support toward bronies from Hasbro, many creators in the community felt inspired by the sheer awesomeness of the scene depicted and by the response Hasbro gave to our feelings for the characters. Several artworks were made already, and now Nicolas Dominique presents us a wonderful thing, that is a song made about that figurine. How cool is that? Partake in blissful Trance vibes as you picture the lovely scene in your mind, expressing your love to the characters, and perhaps also feel that excitement from awaiting to get the figurine, set to be released in May

EnergyTone – Apples to the Core (Covering Daniel Ingram) | Rock

All of the awesome songs from the show shall never be forgotten, and EnergyTone’s cover of Apples to the Core is giving the musician’s Rock spin to the original all while paying much tribute to it. Rocking riffs and energetic vocals are all chanting that anthem for the Apple family all over again, including Pinkie of course!

Top Pony Songs of January 2018!

No, that’s not a typo in the title. Things are running a little bit differently with the Top Ten now, for a start it’s no longer a Top Ten. Unfortunately low turnout has led to a change in the format for this, so now it’s simply a collection of the most popular voted songs; in order but not starting at any particular number.

Crusader! – Summer in Equestria | Pop

This song is a fun one to listen to; it is very 1990s-inspired!  The sound selection, the portrayal of the theme, etc. are well-thought of and executed.  The song just wants you to go out and have fun with friends.  What a way to spend the “Summer in Equestria”!  Nice work, Crusader!

Elias Frost – Raise This Barn (Finnish Metal Cover) | Metal

Here’s an interesting take on “Raise This Barn”: it’s a metal cover in the Finnish language!  Sure, it’s different, especially to the Western area of the world, but it’s well-put together.  The lyrics are on the top of the beat; the recordings are high quality; and the mixing is clean.  Nice job making it all fit nicely, Elias Frost!

CainbowRrash – A Bug’s Defeat | Orchestral

Reminiscent of the Season 6 finale, this piece by CainbowRrash portrays the defeat of Queen Chrysalis and how she reflected on it when all was said and done.  The song takes a different approach to the climax of the episode, one that the show has not shown.  Where she is now, we may never know—for now.

Assertive Fluttershy – Boo Hoo (Mikuma Remix) | Future Bounce / Progressive House

Here’s a remix of a true fandom classic by Mikuma! I love Assertive’s stuff, and Mikuma’s remix breathes new life into his work. It’s upbeat and energetic and cheerful, just like the original!

HAARDTEK – ETHEREALISE | Trance

Haardtek is back with some more of his awesome trance! He’s been a favorite of mine since I found him, and this piece is full of his classic style. Whooshes, punchy kicks, and hypnotic baselines are all here in force. He’s releasing an upcoming album called Legacy, so be sure to check that out when it releases!

Vylet Pony – Hotstuff (feat. Shift Audio) | Midtempo

Vylet and Shift Audio team up for this Scootaloo-themed song! It’s an interesting twist on glitch hop with a healthy dose of dubstep too, sprinkled with Scootaloo and Rainbow Dash vocals. Vylet says that the song was themed around adult Scootaloo, and it’s very easy to hear the inspiration!

Inkwel – Passive Kindness | Hybrid Trap

Passive Kindness sounds like the musical embodiment of Fluttershy’s “You’re going to love me” side from the S1 finale, with the heavy drops representing her unleashing her anger, and the Trap beat acting as a great accompaniment to her badapple look at that moment. There can definitely be many sides to a pony and even to kindness, as this song illustrates!
