4everfreebrony – Bound With Time | Pop-Rock

Our inbox seems to have been full of 4everfreebrony recently (hint hint, more to come). Here’s a new song from him touching on the topic of Twilight and immortality, similar to Stay, his first song released since his return home. Those two are also due to be featured on an album he’s working on, so that’s definitely something to look forward to!

4everfreebrony – Hoping (DJRedSky Remix/Cover) | Deep House

Based on a cover DJRS himself did of the 4everfreebrony song Hoping from about a year ago, they’ve gone and remixed it using the vocal track from said version. Turns out those vocals sped up to ~120bpm work pretty well with a deep house style beat underneath, with the instruments following a classic 90s house feel – a both chill and blissful rendition of the original.

Daniel Ingram – A Changeling Can Change (Royalpony Remix) | Future Bass

Another tribute to the long-awaited Spike solo song from The Times They Are A Changeling, Royalpony’s remix doesn’t fail to bring back some of that emotion and accompany it with beautiful space-ey melodies and choruses, while not being short on hard-hitting beats and vocal samples at the same time. Truly a magnificent track to end summer!

The Dark Side – Magic | Melodic Dubstep

We didn’t get the chance to see many Melodic Dubstep songs from the community since the Omnipony days, but The Dark Side is here to delight us with a new release that oozes the very magic of that genre that I particularly affectionate. The sensitivity, the melodies, the powerful synths that seem to take us away to a new realm… this song Magic has got it all.

Tomato.Tuesdays – Out On My Own (Covering Daniel Ingram) | Indie Pop

Reborn under a new alias, a certain beloved singer from the community comes back with a wonderful cover of the very emotional Out On My Own, using a very singular vocal style (see Lightroom for more), reminiscing of some Classic Rock songs of old. Sub for more and to show your support!

Vylet Pony – Love Letters | Album | Electronic

Making a seemingly very speedy turnaround from the release of Super Pony World this summer, Vylet’s back with another album, this one about Rarity. Not quite as monumental as SPW, however Love Letters still contains 12 tracks, more than qualifying it for a full album status. Read on for a look at each track one-by-one as it transitions through many phases of electronic music with hints of jaaazzzz.

Denz Xavier – Strangeville | Alt. Rock

Ahhh, it’s nice to hear to some riff-driven alt rock from Denz again. While the vocals and lyrics could still be improved, his tone of voice and the effects used on his guitars remind me of the band Kasabian (always a good thing in my books when my taste in music is stuck around 2010 xD).

Jyc Row – Land of Equestria | Orchestral

NB: This was originally posted on Equestria Daily on 1 October 2016.

It always surprises me how Jyc Row is able to so quickly and consistently put out such cool orchestral music, but it’s definitely not a bad thing! Here he’s released a piece that absolutely feels like it takes in the majesty and breadth of the ‘Land of Equestria’, with all his trademark signature sounds to it, as well as a very pretty-sounding arpeggiated bell sound throughout the middle of the track. Definitely check it out if you like powerful orchestral stuff!
