Przewalski’s Ponies – Just Tell Me | Alternative Metal
Another masterpiece from the group of Przewalski’s Ponies, Just Tell Me features the ever-gorgeous vocals of Velvet R. Wings. Melancholic piano and powerful guitar are painting an autumn scenery with the help of music as a brush, and the finale with the organ coming in is just the icing on the cake. It’s part of Velvet’s upcoming album Transition!
DoTheDaringDew – DoTheDaringDew EP | Rock
NB: This was originally posted on Equestria Daily on 11 July 2018.
DoTheDaringDew’s been steadily improving as a musician lately, and another step on that path is this new EP of 5 new tracks, each showcasing what he can do fairly well. His instrumental abilities are certainly a bit more advanced than his vocals, but it’s still a great package of fun with tracks about Daring Do, Starlight Glimmer and more.
4everfreebrony – Right Here (feat. The L-Train) [ALBUM RELEASE] | Pop Rock
You should be excited about this release. 4everfreebrony has released a remastered version of The Pink Side of The Moon album and this track is the amazing new ending where after a big adventure, Pinkie finds everything she needed in her friends Right Here. The song begins softly, building through the verse before going into an extraordinary and uplifting chorus. From there the track takes off with electric guitar, rock beat, a phenomenal solo by The L-Train, and everything but the kitchen sink from 4everfreebrony’s arsenal of top-notch music production.
Quicksilver – Night Shifts and Politics | Punk
Quicksilver is an expert in creating awesome rock tracks and this time it is based off of a very beloved episode, A Royal Problem. “Night Shifts and Politics” is Luna’s vocal narrative of wanting to make the trade back for her job as the princess of the night instead of dealing with all the daytime politics. The track has great guitar work, a driving percussive beat, and all the elements for which we love the veteran rocker!
BroniKoni – Empty | Rock Ballad
BroniKoni is always exceptional with their work and this deeply emotional track is further proof! Empty is the inner thoughts of a lonely pony who doesn’t know if everything he sees is even real or if everything is a distorted fantasy of his own twisted mind. The track is largely driven by the piano accompaniment with the vocals which set a big stage through the use of only two instruments. The inner torment is further expressed with a guitar solo of pure languish. It’s difficult to emphasize how well written and produced this track is, and really needs to be experienced so go check it out!!!
Elias Frost – Shine Like Rainbows (covering Daniel Ingram) | Rock
NB: This was originally posted on Equestria Daily on 31 May 2018.
Elias Frost has another awesome rocking show cover, with a bit of a throwback to Rainbow Rocks! The chorus is as catchy as in the original, and the instrumental supports the vocals wonderfully, with an awesome video as well.

Lycan Dese Beats – Beats 4 Everfree | Compilation Album | Multi-Genre
Three years ago, after running a successful radio show about brony music for several months, Lycan got a bunch of musicians to pitch in some songs to make a compilation album featuring them. Fast forward to now, and this annual album is now in its 4th edition with the release of Beats 4 Everfree. The primary difference this time round is that the album is dedicated to Everfree Northwest, for which Lycan is the musical coordinator this year, and the funds raised from the album sales will go to EFNW’s chosen charity, the Washington Autism Alliance & Advocacy. 14 tracks from a group of consistently solid musicians and producers take this album through all sorts of genres – electronic to orchestral – so there’s something in here for everyone’s tastes!
Beats 4 Everfree is available to download for any given price from the Lycan Dese Beats Bandcamp.
Sable Symphony feat. Scruff, SlightlyAmiss, Brownie, Blackened Blue & Osoch – Between Fairytales and Happy Endings (covering PrinceWhateverer) | Alternative Rock
Sweet Celestia! Check out this amazing lineup of musicians collaborating to cover a fandom classic in Prince Whateverer’s Between Fairytales and Happy Endings! This soft, yet very emotional track describes the hardships that Derpy has to deal with in being different from the others. Scruff’s vocals do well to express the frustration she experiences with the way others treat her. SlightlyAmiss plays a serene acoustic guitar throughout the track. Blackened shreds a couple of technically brilliant guitar solos and with Sable Symphony, Brownie, and Osoch combined bring together a fantastic tribute. With such a legendary lineup of brony guitarists, it is no wonder that the guitar work on this track is so well-done!
