Budzy is at it again with some sick wubs, and this time they come with a big dose of Flutterbat. The vocal samples from the show work really well, especially when they’re chopped up in the second drop, and there’s a generous helping of strong chords and crunchy wobbles. The flow is exceptional through the track, so make sure to check it out below!

[P@D] DJT & UndreamedPanic – Ragnarok | Bass House
DJT has been quite the genre chameleon recently, his style evolving to suit his collaborative partner, and this time is no different! UndreamedPanic is the fandom’s king of bass house and it totally shows here as in combination with DJT there is a whole heap of neat sound design on show. Featuring some lovely soft and well-textured breaks to give some contrast as well, this is otherwise quite the banger. Check it out below!
StrachAttack – The PVNK | Dubstep
Strach Attack is one of few artists in the fandom that I can pick out right away just by the mixdown, and I think that says enough about the quality. Coming at you with chuggy wobs and an attitude that only us Canucks can bring to the table, and right after a fire EP no less – we get THE PVNK. I see you my dude, I see you. Tune in for a fire beat and those aforementioned chuggy wobs, you won’t be disappointed. Be sure to check out Strach’s Bandcamp for his Burnout EP as well.
Neon Lights – The Dark Queen (feat. Lunar Dance) | Hard Trancestep
I’ve been a fan of Lunar Dance for a long time, and I recently came across Neon Lights. They are both absolutely amazing, and this Nightmare Moon-themed collab combines both of their best talents in a unique, clever mishmash of sound. The pumping, four-on-the-floor beat is classic but strong, while the arpeggio’d synth in the drop is deliciously inventive.
fractilx – Unwithered | Chillstep
fractilx (alias of InklingBear) has created some smooth, wubbly chillstep for us all to enjoy. His delicious sound selection and mixing synthesize the atmosphere, while the synths themselves are pluck-y and gentle. The drop manages to be both relaxing and invigorating simultaneously, by pairing excellent wubs with those eye-drooping synths. All throughout, the song keeps a singular style and never breaks from it. Enjoyable at any time of day!
[P@D] Pony Music – Solitude | Melodic Dubstep
With his trademark vocal chopping and unique electronic sounds, Pony Music makes a triumphant return! The drums on this piece are simple but strong, with the kick in particular standing out. Awestriking melodies and their accompanying vocals lead us through ever higher levels of energies. Then Pony Music brings it all crashing down with a wonderfully melodic, very wubby drop. Emotional on a level rare for dubstep, this song is a genuine delight to listen to.
[P@D] Feral FurE – Epic Wub Time | Hardstyle / Dubstep
One more amazing and kickass track from the latest P@D album: GUARDIANS! This time is from one of the most genius minds in the Hardcore brony music scene recently: Feral FurE. The vocal chops, the drop, the amazing and juicy distorted kicks make this track one of a hell banger! This track has everything for be the most extreme track from the album!
Don’t forget to download or buy the latest P@D album: GUARDIANS!
Ataraxia – Motion Reimagined | Album | Electronic
I hadn’t realised until recently just how much music Ataraxia has put out over the past couple of years. From solo piano sonatas to cinematic electronic pop songs, there’s been quite a variety. But like all good things, the alias is coming to an end, and as a parting gift he gives us Motion Reimagined – deliberately named so as a ‘rework’ of sorts of his previous album Eternal Perfect Motion. The album often takes a more experimental approach to music production than Ataraxia’s previous work, in particular the VIP of Viridescent, and features a couple of other people’s remixes of notable songs too.
It’s a great parting gift. We’ll miss you Ataraxia. Thanks for all the music.
Motion Reimagined is available to purchase on Ataraxia’s Bandcamp.
TCB – NightMares EP | Dubstep
TCB is an upcoming artist that released a lot of interesting Dubstep experiments, including NightMares, their latest EP! The experimentation and the mixing in this EP are pretty good. I would say that Daybreaker is the highlights in this EP that describes the evil versions of the Royal Sisters and Twilight Sparkle. I recommend this EP for those who are into to some really experimental, melodic, aggressive Dubstep or Riddim.
You can download NightMares on TCB’s bandcamp or you can stream the 3 songs on TCB’s playlist on Youtube.
[P@D] Jyc Row & lia;quo – Bat Pony (ft. Kjellska) | Orchestral / Dubstep
We’ve got a real mishmash of both genres and nationalities in this one here. Jyc and Lia have often been featured both here on the site and on Ponies At Dawn albums in the past, but I believe this is the first time I’ve seen Kjellska’s name anywhere, and her sweet Japanese vocals are a welcome addition to the track! This one starts off as an orchestral piece but drops into some melodic dubstep and flows back and forth between the two for the duration of the song.
