Ferexes making music? Featured on my horse music site? It’s…actually not that likely. It’s been a year since Ferexes last made a pony song, and even though this chill piece only lasts 2 minutes, it’s still nice to see some new audio material from him.
Daniel Ingram – The Spectacle (StrachAttack Remix) | Dubstep
Bruh.
If ever there was an example to support the argument that putting time into remixes of songs from the show pays off, this is the one. Strach’s proving himself more and more to be one of the best producers in the fandom right now, go show him some love!
Various Artists – JapanPonyParty! Vol.3 | Album | Multi-Genre
We completely missed this when it first released back in May, but thanks to someone sending it in to us, we’re able to share it with you today! This compilation album featuring artists from the Japanese fandom scene was released at Japan Ponycon in May earlier this year. It features some names you might recognise (e.g. Oodoratoo2, delfino), but also has a wide variety of other artists you may never have heard of, and a huge range of genres too! The above video contains previews of each track, and the album itself can be downloaded from JPP’s website for free!
Filly in the Box – Poison | Neurostep
Super exciting to see a new release from Filly in the Box! The artist plunges further into some fantastic dark and experimental sound design featuring some crawling basslines, really textural FX, and warped out vocals. If you’re a fan of creative productions, this is certainly an artist you want to be keeping up with.
4EverfreeBrony – Future (What Are The Odds) [Spectra Remix] | Progressive House
Having been away from home for some time, 4EverfreeBrony is finally returning home, and to celebrate his return our very own Spectra has whisked up this catchy and polished house-y remix of one of his many classic tracks. It even has a bit of a dubstep breakdown for some added variety later on. A worthy welcome back package for sure.
UndreamedPanic – Crystal Empire | Bass House
A follow up to one of the best bass house tracks in the fandom (not many takers there so far!), Dark Crystals, Panic brings us Crystal Empire. Does this live up to the previous track? Absolutely! With some really nice vocal samples building into the track, it then proceeds to knock one’s metaphorical socks off with some clean, heavy bass noises that hit just right.
WoodenToaster – Pinkie’s Lie (PonyFireStone Remix) | Dubstep
WoodenToaster? Dubstep? I feel like I’m back in 2011 again! Jokes aside, this remix of the fandom classic, Pinkie’s Lie, does have a certain nostalgic feel to it, which is still nice to see every now and again from the music scene.
Totalspark – Night Sequence | Dubstep
We can never have enough Night tracks from the community, and this much inspired new crystal gem from Totalspark certainly delights, with its distinctive story/concept, tech-y dark synths much pertaining to the theme and reminding of FF7’s Jenova, powerful bass hits as to embody King Sombra’s darkness and his attempts to break out, and confident beats paying great tribute to one of the show’s most wicked villains.
Einarx – Devastate EP | Electronic
Einarx’s much awaited new EP is out, everypony!! Including tracks that were already released on the channel before as well as brand new tracks, this EP under the Magnus Records label is 100% bangers.
