This song uses sound bites from the show and weaves them into some incredible Bounce music, making an excellent listening experience. It has a lot of energy and definitely lives up to the genre’s name. And honestly, you just can’t help but dance along with it!
Electronic
FilledSilhoutte – Sombra Is Upon Us | Dark Ambient
An awesome initiative, this Dark Ambient track from FilledSilhoutte has its theme on point, as the track is creating the kind of dark atmosphere that King Sombra’s villainous presence evokes… or maybe it is even darker, and is meant to represent the kind of dark trip you go through when you get hypnotized by Sombra’s dark magic, trapped in an illusion of your worst fears! Definitely an experience to behold, and an impressive craft!
[ASOS] CRUVOD & Whirly Tail – The Queen’s Journey | House
An uplifting track as gorgeous as sunlight reflecting on an icy landscape, this collab part of A State of Sugar Waffle is as cute as it showcases the magic that happens when two passionate musicians unite their talents. A stunning progression is opening the path to many wonders of sound, and this is sure to help Cadance on her way, like a beacon of light that guides your way to enlightenment! Give it up for CRUVOD and Whirly Tail!
William Anderson – Fixing the Festival (Songbird Choir Remix) | Alternate Electronic
Remixes of BGM tracks from the show are always so appreciated! And I sure hoped that somepony would remix that certain BGM Fixing the Festival from S09E17 The Summer Sun Setback, that I sure noticed while watching the episode and that I loved so much! Songbird Choir does us the honors of a progressive remix covering the mane melody on piano, and adding lots of electronic elements to the soundscape, providing such a welcome extended version! Thank you William for this amazing BGM, and Songbird for this wonderful remix!
ShobieShy – House of Glim | House
ShobieShy’s back at it again with another banger, except unlike his usual hip hop fare, this one’s a house tune. It’s all about Starlight Glimmer, and is filled with plenty of voice samples of conversations between the titular character and Twilight Sparkle, the latter of whom’s forced laughs are plastered in every drop, fitting perfectly with each beat. Good luck getting this out of your head!
Morphmoon – I Like Fast | Synthwave
You like fast? You’ll probably like this too. This track is a quick-paced synthwave piece from Morphmoon, formerly known as Lunar, and being as such, it takes influence from older forms of electronic music, such as an 80s sounding bass, though the overall feeling of the song reminds me of module music from the mid to late 90s. I guess you could say that synthwave’s making waves in the fandom right now!
[ASOS] Lavender Harmony – First Impressions | Liquid Drum & Bass
Lavender Harmony presents a new celestial DnB track, deservingly compiled on the A State of Sugar: Waffle compilation album. The frequencies contained in this rare Drumscape Library release include tense synth swells, watery piano hits, and shakingly harmonic sub-basses. With a foundation of swift but soft drums, this splattering, smashing, fluid DnB piece serves as a fantastic precursor to Lavender Harmony’s album Daydreams, queued for later this year.
Silva Hound & StrachAttack – Punk Rocks (feat. Namii) [Chang31ng Edit] | Electro House / Progressive House
This banger from Ponies at Dawn: Skyward is back, except with a newer coat of paint. A good chunk of the song is essentially the same as the original track, although this version is cut in half and includes a couple of new drops with the familiar Chang31ing flair. If you’re familiar with the original track, this should be a new experience.
[ASOS] Tripon – Stars and Swirls | Drum & Bass
From the new A State of Sugar compilation album comes a brand new DnB original. Familiarize yourself with a passively pleasuring exposition introducing you to the hefty neuro basses of this roller. Serene atmospheres are not lacking in this track either, with the clouds of ethereal pads abundant in the intro and outro. Decorated with vast reverbs and nippy drums, this piece won’t be out of place for any bass-manic electronic fans!
Wootmaster – Tree House | House
While Wootmaster’s very active in the MLP music scene, it’s not often he puts out a solo song; in fact, it’s been nearly a year since his last release, but this one was definitely worth the wait. He’s delivered a long house tune with plenty of MLP samples, particularly of Pinkie (who can be heard making percussion sounds all throughout, no less!) and the student six, with numerous references to Uprooted and What Lies Beneath. Alongside the familiar house music ensemble, a saxophone is added into the mix, creating a jazzy feel. This unique track will definitely hype up the club, and become a welcome addition to the Wootmaster discography!
