Daniel Ingram – Smile Song (Nyancat380 Bootleg) | Hip-Hop / Chiptune
A recent favorite of mine that came out of nowhere, Nyancat380’s Bootleg is quite emotional with such a creative use and effects on Pinkie vocals from the beloved Smile Song. The bassline all throughout is adding even more emotion, making for quite a unique remix like we don’t get that often. The last part is especially powerful for me!
Daniel Ingram – Better Way To Be Bad (Evgeniy Doctor Remix) | House
This episode was a ton of fun to watch and Evgeniy took it upon themselves to throw a fun four-to-the-floor spin on it. Adding some nice energy to the musical style piece and overall compliment the original with fun electronic elements and a more driven rhythm.
UndreamedPanic – Friends | Progressive House
The insanely versatile UndreamedPanic returns with a cut centered around the themes of friendship and, of course, the student six! Clearly, Panic has put a much love in the creation of this tune, if the description is to be believed, and it’s evident in the chill-inducingly catchy melodies featured throughout the song. The vocal chops in the song are subtle and soft yet perfectly befitting, and each section in the song feels fresh. I personally also appreciate his ability to put the “progress” in “progressive house,” as the progression in this song is simple but effective. Here’s to UndreamedPanic, learning, and friendship in whatever form it may take!
Eurobeat Brony & TheLivingTombstone – Discord (Chang31ing Remix) | Midtempo
Here we have a remix of the defining brony song. Uh oh, you might think. It starts unsuspectingly enough, just as The Living Tombstone’s remix does. However, once the vocals fade out for the first time, one of Chang31ing’s signature tasty basses creeps in and the buildup results in an infectious breakdown befitting any club. It’s extremely hard to make the classics sound fresh, but Chang31ing has definitely discredited that with this short but sweet banger!
Ersillus – Fly | Dubstep / Orchestral
Newcomer Ersillus graces us with quite the intriguing hybrid of genres! Beginning with an epic buildup featuring soaring choir vocals and tribal drums, it immediately shifts to a section of cathartic relief in the form of those choir vocals soaring even higher and some absolutely filthy dubstep growls. The sound design, coupled with Ersillus’ knack for catchy melodies, make him a great new artist to look out for!
Vylet Pony – The Armada (feat. FlightRush & Roymond) | Orchestral / Dubstep
Continuing their releases from the stellar Homeward album This track opens with a tense, icy arpeggio and orchestrated leitmotif. Before transitioning into a much grittier and intense rush of energy and intricate bass and piercing leads to announce the attack of Spectre’s fleet. The breakdown is amazing as well with a chilling and heavy piano melody and a very dense and airy atmosphere that gives off a brave and hopeful mood and overall is a very stellar piece from the album and if you haven’t already, I highly recommend listening to the album in its entirety (the songs are designed to transition together seamlessly which is amazing) and to give the story a read while doing so as it really helps build the world each song is conveying.
Daniel Ingram – Better Way to Be Bad (Toby Macarony Remix) | Electro Tango
Wow! Toby Macarony has a style very much all their own and Better Way to Be Bad is the perfect song to get that Macarony twist! The remix has a very electro swing feel while keeping the original tango elements of the track. In addition, Toby incorporates their insane, stylistic chop effects to make the villains sound more demented – in the best way! Toby restores Chrysalis’ voice to the vocoder ways of season 2 and adds cool chop effects on the others as well to fit the mix. You really want to check this out!
7th Stive – Flutter | Progressive House
An aerial and contemplative track all while being punchy and bouncy, this Fluttershy-themed Progressive House from 7th Stive feels like the kind of music she would listen to indeed! It’s also inspired by Deadmau5’s music!

The first remixes of Better Way to Be Bad from the latest episode are out!! NYMUND9 is definitely knocking it out of the park with an amazing Electro remix empowering the dark and villainous vibes with certain effects on the vocals, for pure bliss and emotion as we get a new experience of our beloved villains’ song. The intricate and refined melodies on those synths are working so well for the genre and providing a much cohesive electronic arrangement, and NYMUND9 even went all-out with crazy vocal chops out of Cozy’s voice!!
