うすうすベア – It’s Derpy Day! | Chipcore

No, that’s not an actual Japanese musician, just another one of fractilx’s aliases. We’re a bit late with this one, but they made a song for Derpy Day (1st March) and it’s super cute! A blend of Chiptune and Happy Hardcore, this certainly got me smiling, I hope it does the same for you.

Segments of Life – Satellites | Trancecore

Segments of Life have been releasing a lot of pretty cool music recently. All of it seems to be centred around a common theme though – the blending of hardcore rock elements with those of electronic (generally more trance in nature). If you like the other stuff they’ve been releasing recently, you’ll probably enjoy this!

うすうすベア – Rainbow Dream Race | Hardcore

You may not have seen that name before but it’s another one of fractilx‘s aliases, so expect the usual super upbeat style of music he offers. This particular track sounds very apt for a futuristic racing game…reminds me of this video too.

Next Level Derp – Wooden Wolves | Terrorcore

Lurking within the depths of the Everfree, we find an inspiring amount of promise in the grit of NLD’s new thrasher of a track. Though it’s certainly not for everyone, this composition boldly pursues a dark and aggressive direction that even few of the community’s established hardcore artists have dared to explore. Derp does a fantastic job in presenting a brutally industrial kick that anchors the supporting atmospheric distortions while the track smartly paces itself and manages to shake things up with a series of syncopated riffs. I do think the addition of some ethnic drums and just more auxiliary percussion would help ratchet up the energy of the tune, but this is a brilliant initial stab into a foreign genre from a very new artist. You can download it for free as part of a two track EP on NLD’s bandcamp, and if you’re excited to hear more, be sure to subscribe to his newly formed YouTube and Soundcloud.

Apyllitate – Intercelestial League EP | Electronic

Aphylliate has made an EP as a little homage to 90s style racing games, such as F-Zero and Wipeout. I’m not entirely sure if this is related to pony in any other way than the title, so we won’t do a full write-up of it. However, if you’re interested in this sort of thing, go check it out. All the songs are up on Aphylliate’s YouTube channel too.

This is Aphylliate’s penultimate EP under that alias, so keep an eye out, he’s got one more coming soon…

Segments of Life – The Future Must Be Met | Trancecore

Segments of Life’s music always gets me hyped. Their style involves a hard rock/metal sound with lots of electronic elements implemented into it; they dubbed it “Trancecore”. It’s pretty epic, go check it out, it’s worth it!

うすうすベア – CIDR.XXX | Gabber

If you’re looking to savor a new hardcore track, fractilx is serving up some top grade gabber to quench your thirst. This tune features an energetic array of elements from anthemic supersaws to fluttering acid riffs, all propelled forward by both amen breaks and punchy gabber kicks to make for brilliantly energetic cocktail. If you’re looking for something upbeat, you’re sure to get your money’s worth.

PekaNo – Always in my Heart | Frenchcore

It looks like another artist is beginning to venture into the rougher side of dance music, and PekaNo does a great job with their initial foray into frenchcore! Vocal chops and an arpeggiating synth dance around the iconic grit of the pumping hardcore kick to make for a nice groove, though I’m excited to see the result of including some more auxiliary percussion, dynamic atmosphere, and a consistent use of vocals in a future release. Keep it up!
