Drawing on one of the main motifs of Legend of Everfree, The Cosine Pitchshifterz and Lightning Runner made this track about Twi’s internal struggles. You can kind of split this song into two separate styles: While it starts off with the usual kind of heavy hardstyle I’ve seen a lot from TCP, it descends into this wonderfully melodic section in the middle, bringing in and out the hardstyle kicks as well, before switching back to the heavier stuff at the ending too, a great progression!

Horse Music Central, a group for brony musicians, have released their first compilation album, organised by FruityFusion, Spectra and Violin Melody, called Horse Music Vol. 1! This album, comprising 14 tracks, features relatively established artists such as Ryazan, fractilx and FruityFusion himself, as well as other new and upcoming artists such as Filly in the Box, Intersekt and Lunar Dance. With the money made from the album going towards charity, it’s definitely something worth checking out if you like compilation projects (I know I do!). So, uh…hey. Been a while since I wrote up anything here, and so this writeup is a little later than anticipated, but let’s not dwell on that! Instead let’s take a look at this (almost) brand new EP from 174UDSI! I think this is the first time I’ve seen some sort of album release from him, so this’ll be a new experience for me too. Sunday night speed horse music for your earholes. I’ve not got much to say about this one, it’s heavy, has some insane bass, and a looped animation of human dashie pulling off some dance moves.

The Cosine Pitchshifterz – Equality Inequality | Hardstyle
Despite the sample used before the drop, this song is anything but quiet. While I’m not a huge fan of hardstyle personally, this track still has its merits, and a nice swing beat to it. I also like the classic hands-up ravey feel of the part that starts at 2:38, it mixes an old-school sound with modern-day hardstyle.

Royalpony blends hands-up and hardstyle in this hard-hitting remix of It’s Gonna Work. I’m not normally a huge fan of either genre, but I’m absolutely loving this, guess I’m just picky with them!

Royalpony – Open Senses | Rawstyle
Royalpony’s back with another one of their famous hardstyle songs, with the slight variation of rawstyle (although to be honest I wouldn’t know the difference >.>). It’s certainly a divisive genre, but there’s definitely a strong following of this style of music, this one’s for you guys.
