[P@D] SDreamExplorerS – The Empathy Herself | Symphonic Black Metal / Progressive Metal

Enigma has bring us soo many awesome tunes, The Empathy Herself it’s one of them! The mix between symphonic elements, amazing progressions and black metal typical screaming vocals and drum usage, makes this track an amazing Symphonic Black Metal experience with Progressive Metal influence. Soul Strings did an amazing job on this track, with the massive instrumentation and production plus with the vocal performance, mixing screaming with clean vocals, sometimes with effects. The lyrics tell a story, that what I love in Soul Strings’ tracks, they have something to tell.

[P@D] PrinceWhateverer – Shrouded Integrity (feat. IMShadow007) | Metal

PrinceWhateverer continues to show why he is the king of brony metal in this tag team collaboration featured on Ponies at Dawn: Enigma. Utilizing some epic vocals from IMShadow007, this track has all the intensity and refined sound design that we know PW for. A great feature of Shrouded Integrity is the dramatic strings that carry the melody through the track and add a beautiful and almost tragic sense of desperation while the singers call out the subject character for the choices she makes. Another very well-structured composition, be sure to check out this track and the album it is from!

Elias Frost – The Other Side (Covering John Jennings Boyd & Lisette Bustamante) | Metal

With how the EQG special & music video The Other Side is trending and making quite a sensation in the community, it’s no surprise that it’s inspiring pony musicians to answer the call, but it’s always such an unexpected delight! Elias Frost delivers in Swedish and Metal all the way, covering the original melodies in such a rocking way, and it’s such a bliss to experience, especially when we watched and loved the original! Reverbrony – Sunburn (feat. FritzyBeat) | Alternative Rock

Here we have a melancholic piece from Reverbrony and FritzyBeat. Themed around Princess Luna; moments before giving into the darkness, you can feel the sadness in the composition as her innocence is cut away, slice by slice, beneath Celestia’s Sun and majesty. Three years in the making its a song well worth the wait!

LaRaikaa – She’s a Vampire (M-Type) (feat. EileMonty & Nowacking) | Metal

LaRaikaa (f.k.a. PsychGoth, BagpipeBrony) brings us all the way back to 2012 with a driving metal spin on his original synthy tune based on the fanfic My Roommate is a Vampire. Of course, the beautiful vocals from EileMonty and Nowacking bring even more flavor to the already very tasty djent-inspired instrumental. Whether LaRaikaa will return to do more horse tunes is unknown, but his return is lovely to see!

PrinceWhateverer & Frozen Night – This is Nightmare Night (feat. Friends) (This is Halloween Parody) | Metal

Well here is the perfect song to get into the Nightmare Night mood. PrinceWhateverer  re-imagines the very familiar Nightmare Before Christmas hit to fit the pony holiday using his unique metal style, with the aid of his crew of friends. The many voices contribute amazingly with solo lines as well as haunting chorus parts (especially when they get to the la la-la-la crowd part). A perfect song for the end your October season, or just because you love a great song and parody – be sure to check out This is Nightmare Night!

Elias Frost – Banished | Symphonic Gothic Metal

A gorgeous ode to Luna and the fateful events around her banishment to the moon that we are all familiar with, Banished is full of Elias’ mighty talent at strong and emotional vocals, all while carrying a powerful progression including choruses and an epic guitar solo part. Icing on the cake, the track also fittingly covers William Anderson’s Luna’s Theme from the show, that you can hear in BGMs such as Your Own Shadow from the episode Bloom and Gloom.

Reverbrony – Outlaw | Groove Metal

Reverbrony’s newest piece does fit those epic vibes from Applejack’s look in that artwork, with over 5 minutes of heavy riffs and mad drums play. The lead guitar solo near the end is the peak of the song, bringing that Outlaw legacy and amping it to the loudest!
