PeKaNo – Compromised Fluttershy | Drum & Bass

It’s been a little while since we’ve heard from PeKaNo. Compromised Fluttershy is a new tune that combines soft elements such as synths and wind instruments along with harsher ones, such as a drum n’ bass beat as well as a low synth bass. It’s a unique combination for sure, and it works to great effect. A tune perfectly suited for everypony’s favourite shy mare!

Jyc Row – The Legion (feat. Celica Soldream) | Orchestral

We’ve come to the fifth and final track of Jyc Row’s amazing Legion EP, this one centred around the EP’s established legion of doom. Serving as the closing track, it’s only fitting that the pure epic orchestral feelings are turned up to eleven here, and the inclusion of vocalist Celica Soldream throughout this 4 part piece further helps makes it flourish. Perfect music for the inevitable final battle!

Jyc Row – The Necromancer (feat Yoed Nir) | Orchestral

The penultimate track from Jyc Row’s Legion EP is here, and it’s a truly menacing piece about Grogar. Joining him is Yoed Nir on the cello to really bring this piece to life. All the ominous percussion, choirs, strings and bells come together to perfectly capture Grogar’s personality as a tyrannical leader to be feared. If he ever makes an appearance in a future MLP show, this would be the perfect introductory music.

Stablefree – Discord (feat. Replacer) (Covering Odyssey Eurobeat) (Blue Velocity Remix) | Electro Swing

Do you remember Discord? Yes you do. Do you remember Stablefree and Replacer’s cover of it? Well as many great jazz or big band songs in the fandom it got an electro swing remix. Blue Velocity doesn’t upload often but when they do it’s always a treat. To make it work they had to have it sound older and newer at the same time, and Replacer‘s piano playing got a chance to shine anew. You can practically hear Discord’s laugh in the brass, and that beat and pace makes for the perfect mix of chaos and swing!

SmD House – Finding Yourself | Orchestral / Chillout

Mellow pizzicato string plucks start out this soothing piece by SmD House. They are soon to be accompanied by a piano and harmonious single-note violins under a pulsating drum line. Occasionally, very occasionally, there is a deep, dark, filtered synth line peering into the track that starts playing before the drums cut out. But before you miss the drums for too long, they come back over an even more harmoniously stacked sound. The only thing regrettable thing about listening to Finding Yourself is that it ends, and that can easily be solved with the loop button!

Daniel Ingram – This Is Our Big Night (Rod Steven Remix) | Eurobeat

Rod Steven is an underrated gem in this fandom. While most people only know 1 name for eurobeat bangers, Rod has been cranking out fantastic show remixes for quite some time! This Equestria Girls remix injects a lot of energy and traditional genre synths into the original track, fusing with the movie vocals to an excellent result. If you aren’t subscribed to Rod yet, then you’re doing yourself a disservice!

Atagan – Quest (This Can’t Be All) (Covering BlackGryph0n and Baasik) | Electropop

Agatan’s back on his cover streak, and this one is of BlackGryph0n and Baasik‘s Quest. While the instrumental is the same as the original, Agatan’s smooth vocals breathe new life into the old track about everypony’s favourite newly-winged dragon, Spike. With this being his last planned upload for this year, he’s got some projects planned in the future for 2020. Hopefully they’ll be just as good, if not better than this greatness!

Night Blaze – Theme of the Night Sky | Hybrid Orchestral

Night Blaze is on a roll with their tributes to the now-retired princesses! This one is about Luna, and perfectly captures the feeling of looking at or even wandering about in the night sky! Alongside Night Blaze’s signature orchestral style is the accompaniment of various synths, giving the track an 80s vibe. For the Night!

Radiarc and Frozen Night – Oblivious II | Orchestral

Radiarc and Frozen Night have joined forces to create the sequel to the former’s old track, Oblivious! This also marks Radiarc’s first ever collaboration with another artist. While half the length, it still manages to be epic and emotional all the same. Starting off slow, a soft string and piano riff is the first part to come into play, before building up to a quick pause, a quiet piano bringing everything down to a simmer. Before long though, everything builds up to a crescendo, the familiar piano and strings being joined by powerful percussion sounds, and then eventually simmers down once again. Radiarc can do great things on their own, but it seems like everything becomes better when others are involved!

Steryotype – ThruMyHead | Lo-Fi

Not long after releasing his Lofi Pon EP, Steryotype’s already got another one on the horizon: the ’03 Mini EP, which this track is a part of. As we’ve come to expect from the fandom’s emerging lo-fi scene, this song features the typical elements of a good lo-fi track, particularly the usage of old samples interpolated and edited over a modern hip-hop style drum beat. It hits in all the right places and feels perfect to relax to under a blanket, especially in this weather. ’03 Mini EP will be released soon, so look forward to that!
