Short but sweet, Liam King delivers with a somber instrumental piece from the Liam & Darksun universe! With the usage of dramatic percussion and soothing piano tones coupled with the image of a depressed pony, this track definitely brings about a melancholy feeling. This song definitely wouldn’t feel out of place in a video game, and that’s what makes this track stand out.
Misc
Tw3Lv3 – You can’t let one bad apple make you think you failed. | Lo-fi
A genre I don’t listen to enough, Tw3Lv3 has released a very laid back and soothing LoFi song, with the crackle and grit one should expect from the genre which blends quite well with the lounge-like melody and its deep and punchy bassline. Even the visuals harken back to the old age and helps immerse the listener even more. This is one where I can kick back, close my eyes and think back on life. An excellent job Tw3Lv3!
Event HoriXZ0n – Variations of “Hush Now Quiet Now” in C | Piano Solo
This is just simply beautiful music. Event HoriXZ0n shows a range of classic piano variation that is heavily influenced by great composers like Mozart, Beethoven, and others. Taking a bit part on the first season of MLP: FiM. You listen and hear the many style’s of classic piano and just smile at the skill set of Event HoriXZ0n talent. As always, this Qilin asks you to judge for yourself.
Vylet Pony – Identity (feat. Remember Falling) | Indie Pop / Alternate Electronic
Vylet Pony’s “Identify” is an absolutely beautiful track with an amazing instrumental and relaxing vocals provided by Vylet herself. The instrumental, composed by Vylet and Remember Falling, is soothing, complete with some absolutely beautiful vocal processing, and some awesome underlying synths added in for flavor. The percussion is something that really stands out to me. Vylet’s use of water as a main element of percussion is executed perfectly, and the rest of the percussion just sit so great among the rest of the track.
Loudsdale – Take to the Skies (feat. Makenshi) | Pop Rock
Just in time for BronyCon, Loudsdale – a supergroup comprising of fandom musicians DoTheDaringDew and Luck Rock – have put together a sweet piece dedicated to – and featuring – our very own Makenshi! This track is a positive number driven by a catchy synth melody and crunchy guitars to accompany the duo’s voices and supportive lyrics about making it home by flight. BronyCon may have ended, but the joy most certainly hasn’t, and this song shows it!
Zephysonas – Aerial Battle | Orchestral
From the new Dragon Heart album, this amazing Orchestral track could fit so well as a BGM for an Aerial Battle battle in Equestria, or in some parallel world where the characters look like those from xxiee‘s incredible art! The talented musician does wonders at his craft once more, and the result is nothing short of breathtaking!
MelodyBrony – Best Friends (feat. 4everfreebrony & StealingShad3z) | Rock
I just love these songs about the Student 6, since I love that group of friends a lot!! And this super collab from talented rock musicians definitely pays much tribute to them, with such a stunning composition and lovely lyrics brought to life by blissful vocals, all coming together wonderfully. I’m sure the 6 friends would be very happy listening to this, and maybe it’s happening in some way! Give it up for MelodyBrony, 4EverfreeBrony and StealingShad3z!
Vocal Score Pony – End Of The Rainbow (We’re Still Here) | Ballad
Another end of MLP-centered song, courtesy of Vocal Score Pony, this one is more reflective and contemplative than many of the others, which is a nice change of pace! As always, Vocal Score’s striking voice is enough to give you chills and the lyrics are sure to make anybody with memories in the fandom really take a good look back. The backing vocals and piano playing also contribute immensely to the song’s tone and, at its climax, it truly is something to behold. Our show is ending, it’s okay to cry, but we’ll all still push forward when it’s all over!
Ditherer – Story of the Blanks | Experimental Hip Hop
Master wordsmith and fussbudget Ditherer comes through with a self-produced hip hop song very befitting of the classic game it was based on, Story of the Blanks (which you can find here). The lyrics more or less follow the story of the game and feature some excellent use of imagery, along with what I think is one of the best flows Dith has come up with yet.
UndreamedPanic – Cruizin’ (feat. Kozmos) | Hip-Hop / Glitch-Hop
Panic and Kozmos team up in Cruizin’, a very groovy Spitfire tune with a lovely atmosphere of bright and clean licks and riffs giving a rather relaxed indie feel to the whole song. Kozmos’s rapping is very on point and is buttery smooth and laid back, perfectly complimenting the ‘kick-back-and-relax’ energy. Now thats not to say its all smooth sailing, as there are a couple very well laid out switchups bringing on a harsher grit with some superb breakbeats. All in all this is a superb track to listen to on a hot day, when all you want to do, is sit back and have a couple drinks.
