Ponyphonic teams up with professional singer Kristen Calvin to bring us a remake of their original 2012 hit, well known as the sister-song in to Lullaby for a Princess in that storyline. Complete with full female vocals and revamped musical score, this song feels so much more powerful now than the original did. I guess that’s what 4 years of experience does to any musician! Go listen for epic Luna!

 

For an episode as epic as Gauntlet of Fire, going a different route and trying out Orchestral was definitely a worthy challenge reflecting all the ordeals displayed during the episode. The result doesn’t lack the might that we could expect from such a piece, and an enjoyable RPG soundtrack vibe can be felt, too!

It is with the ominous ringing of distant bells that we enter Ricard’s debut orchestral composition. The song features an expansive variety of instrumentation from plucked strings, trumpets, choir, timpani, and more to set the stage for a climactic confrontation.

Even with all the various DAWs, virtual instruments, synthesizers, etc. that people like Vylet normally use in their music, it’s often simple pieces like this that make something truly beautiful. Piano and strings. Check it.

Bassoonify, the artist formerly known as Bassoon Brony, brings us this wonderfully cheerful orchestral piece. If would feel perfectly in place as background music for FiM itself, it’s that good!
