Equestrian Melodies continues their Art as Told by Music series – pieces of music inspired by fan art. This short piece focuses around a piano with some strings to accompany it, in an unusual yet pleasant 5/4 time signature.

In another episode of “Art as Told by Music”, Equestrian Melodies presents a suspenseful instrumental narrative of Luna’s decent into Nightmare Moon. Dramatic strings and swelling horns are punctuated by the dark thumping of a timpani to create a classically chilling atmosphere.

Sonic Hooves has flown under the radar somewhat so far in his career as a brony musician, however it is fair to say that even though he doesn’t have the highest quality production behind his music, the composition behind his works is top-notch. This is showcased wonderfully here in his track celebrating Rainbow Dash Day, ‘Sounds From Cloudsdale’.
