Phoenixes are unquestionably some of the most dazzling mythical beings portrayed in the MLP universe, and RedSpark’s “Phoenix Rising” pays homage to these compelling creatures with inspired musical story telling.  The piece is initially subdued, not immediately throwing the listener into an epic battle, but rather, creating a slow crescendo with strings, horns, and powerful drums that slowly build to epic heights.  Later on, the climactic moment drops to a steady pace complimented by faint vocals in the background.  Towards the end of the piece, the instruments recede to feature only the vocals in the forefront.  However, the powerful drumbeats and the horns soon return to achieve a final epic triumph. Though, overall, the piece is somewhat subdued in nature, strong emotional overtones resonate through every instrument, creating a truly inspiring vibe throughout the track from start to finish. Enjoy this first track from RedSpark’s upcoming new album; it’s a tasty intro of the good things to come!

With Generation 5’s release of “Legacy” right on our doorstep, many of us in this community find ourselves looking back at countless fond memories of G4, the unforgettable legacy it has left behind, and the friendships that will never end! Such is the inspiration behind Songbird Choir’s emotional tribute to the G4 fandom. Both uplifting and melancholic chords comprise this piece with powerful strings and drums flowing throughout, complimented by gentle piano sections. The track’s alternating happy and sad chords highlight the good memories of the show along with the solemnity of saying goodbye to many beloved characters and compelling stories that have captured our imaginations for many years.  Songbird Choir has even created a nostalgic PMV to go along with their commemorative piece. Experience a nostalgic trip down memory lane as “Legacy” immerses you in heartwarming memories of the “magic” that friendship can bring. 

This “Rarigretto” is as lovely as the name suggests! The fabulous mare might approve of those delicate and refined melodies, enveloped in a warm atmosphere reminding that of a Baroque castle. A longer version of this would fit well as a field theme BGM in a game for such a map, and of course you would meet Rarity there!

Are you HYPE for G5 yet?! With the movie nearly upon us, this fantastic tune from Ocean Melody will definitely help you get there! The song opens with a gentle melody courtesy of strings and horns and goes through a lovely progression, adding bells and delicate percussion. There’s a nice passage where the arrangement mostly subsides to make way for some light drums, and it’s easy to imagine trotting through a sunny landscape, especially when the drums are combined with some light keys. The optimism and joy of this song is infectious and inspiring, so please give it a listen and get uplifted!

Well, have I mentioned that Skyshard does amazing orchestral pieces? If not, let me do so now! “Onto Another Call of Destiny” is a wonderful piece dedicated to G5, and it’s full of the most beautiful strings, stunning drums, and so much more! I don’t make it a secret that I enjoy me some good orchestral music, but this blows everything else out of the water. No matter what you think of orchestral music, you will enjoy this!

What a wonderfully joyous song! I’ve been trying to temper my expectations for the movie, but it will have been an undeniable success if it has even half of the beautiful soul of this composition. Paired with a snippet of art from the trailer, the arrangement begins as if opening on sun-drenched scenes that are for now left to the imagination and blooms into a beautiful story. This song is incredibly well-composed and dynamic. Well done, Ocean Melody, and I sincerely hope that the folks who worked on the film were similarly inspired!
