Newcomer TurquoisePianist brings us Aerial Exploration, an electronic track with orchestral composition that varies in styles throughout. When combined with the changing instrumental features, TurquoisePianist achieves a sense of viewing different cultures, giving the track a more worldly vibe – as though you are exploring from the sky! I really like the dancing bell section 3 minutes in and encourage everyone to listen to the exciting themes prevalent throughout the whole song!
Orchestral
Zephysonas – My Little Epic: (MLP Theme Song Rewrite) | Orchestral
Inspired by epic movies like The Avengers, Zephysonas composed this exhilarating piece as a theme for theoretical similar MLP-themed trailer. My Little Epic starts out light with high strings and an airy piano before transitioning into a dramatic track with the ensemble and gorgeous choir voices. It is easy to imagine an emotional movie preview while listening along to this song!
John Doe – Altitude | Soundtrack
Emotional, entrancing, reflective, magical all the way, John Doe’s new masterpiece Altitude is the perfect BGM to play while exploring a snowy mountain in a RPG game, feeling so much emotion along the melodies and rich arrangement of many instruments. And if you focus on the journey you’ve been through, the memories you’ve made, and the team members you’ve met and who joined your adventure… then chances are a distinct powerful emotion will hit you, and prove once again, that music and Passion are magic!
Mane In Green – Galloping | Orchestral / Soundtrack
Cute, playful, poetic, elegant, there’s many words that we could use to describe this amazing new piece by maestro Mane In Green, yet the song speaks for itself and words wouldn’t be enough to describe its sheer beauty. Doing wonders at his favorite instrument the harpsichord, Mane pays much tribute to our beloved Rarity with a stunning composition and arrangement that would surely make her proud!
Toby Macarony – I’ve Watched You | Hybrid Orchestral / Dark Acapella
We’ve come a long way haven’t we? This is a surprisingly sweet tune from Toby as it leads in with a gentle acoustic guitar melody and a soothing backing of strings to harmonize with the iconic vocals from the Season Three Finale, “Celestia’s Ballad” but it wouldn’t be Toby if he left us on that, right? I can assure you as time goes on the track will flip on its head with a masterful use of complex chords and harmonization with a foreboding atmosphere and an almost industrial sound. It threw me for a loop the first time I heard it and I hope the same can be said to those who have yet to listen!
Night Blaze – Happy Ending | Orchestral
Night Blaze really shows off an array of compositional prowess with this track. Happy Ending is exactly what the title implies – a beautiful, uplifting composition evoking warm nostalgia and sentimentality. The score moves seamlessly through different parts from a piano lead-in to light string movements to more intense, grand segments with electric guitar and quickly strummed strings. It’s a little hard not to tear up listening to this wonderfully emotional track!
Alexey Kotlyar – Bus Stop | Jazz / Lounge
I just love to see such jazzy pieces in the community!! Inspired by that breathtaking artwork by Queen-KittyKat, Alexey Kotlyar went to pay tribute to it with a so smooth instrumental that fits so well as a BGM to have while gazing at the artwork. Come chill at the bus stop along the ponies and Alexey in this cuddly atmosphere!
Radiarc – The Unjust | Orchestral
Radiarc’s streak of breathtaking Orchestral pieces continues, with a deep-as-ever progressive track that has got such a mysterious concept, expressed further with the artwork featured in the video that was drawn by Radiarc himself! Dive deep into the darkness, while climbing the stairway to the truth…
Cloud Hop – Whirlwind | Epic Orchestral
It’s been a while since the last upload we’ve had from Cloud Hop, and this new song definitely does not disappoint. Here’s an epic song about flying through some blistering clouds. I love the string melodies in the song, the brass really gives it this cinematic feeling, and the drums really round it out. It just feels like an epic flight through a whirlwind.
Chiptune Brony – Date with Pinkie Pie | Soundtrack
A song about dating Pinkie, made with such a distinctive OST-like musical style? Yes please! Chiptune Brony has really done it this time, hitting my musical weak spot once again, all while giving much love to my favorite pony. You could easily see this piece playing as a BGM during a dating scene in some MLP visual novel or dating sim! No, I didn’t say eroge!
