Something nice and relaxing to end the night with. I can’t analyse it properly, but I always seem to enjoy the gentle, flowing sounds of some of CrystalData’s songs. A little bit of minimalism works really well from time to time.
Orchestral
Zephysonas – Not even the rain | Orchestral
I wish I knew how to label this more specifically than just “orchestral” because this piece is very different to a lot of the big, epic orchestral pieces I often see. It’s short, but super sweet and cute keyboard/piano-driven piece, and it’s one of those songs created in a sudden burst of inspiration – something which often leads to a surprisingly amazing finished product.
Jyc Row – Nightmare Moon, the Lunar Queen | Orchestral
Jyc Row has composed a beautiful piece about Nightmare Moon. Epic, foreboding, and powerful, it encapsulates her personality perfectly. It is at once dark, strong, and unstoppable. What a song to listen to as Luna’s moon eclipses Celstia’s sun!
Daniel Ingram – Flawless (Aurelleah Remix) | Orchestral Electronic
This new song inspired a lot of artists for make really awesome remixes/remakes/covers! And this time the artist is Aurelleah! Aurelleah that is known for his orchestral and epic tracks and sometimes some really banging electronic ones! And this time, for remix Flawless – that is, for me, one of the best MLP songs ever – Aurelleah decided to mix the orchestral elements with the electronic elements for creating a hybrid formula that works on perfection! The breakdown with the filter on Pinkie Pie’s verse and the amazing piano notes is one of my best parts along with lead after that breakdown, it was really uplifting and emotional! I wish that Aurelleah can keep this formula for his next tracks!
4EverfreeBrony – Sometimes (feat. Aviators) | Orchestral Pop
Here’s a real interesting story 4everfreebrony’s got to serve while you get some music to listen to along the way! It comes with a great array of melodies and vocals as the main course of the song. It’s definitely a good tune to listen to if you’re into songs that have an amazing story behind it (of course every song does but this one is sure to top the rest).
Mane In Green – The Lost Island, Part 1 | Soundtrack
The much-awaited sequel of The Journey has arrived!! And boy does it deliver! Continuing that story of the mane 6 and Discord en route for Saddle Arabia, it tells many twists and turns (I won’t spoil you!) in amazing progressive musical ways, always displaying much talent at composing and fusing musical genres, and always with that blissful Soundtrack feel. And now it even has powerful vocals and choruses from Mane’s friend Mathilde, and from Mane himself! These long progressive story-oriented emotional musical experiences from Mane In Green are always such a delight and I look forward to the next part!
Elias Frost – They are the Night | Orchestral
Crossovers between our favorite series are always awesome, and for the Batman fans among you who might recognize this theme, here’s an Orchestral cover of it along a cover of Luna’s Theme from MLP by William Anderson, all in an original progression and arrangement! An epic and fitting tribute to the warriors of the Night!
Sprocket – Princess, Can You Hear Me? Pt. II (feat. W.H. Auden) | Orchestral
Sprocket’s magnus opus album The Princess Variations definitely showcases a wide variety of genres and musical inspirations, and they are always so tasteful. Blissful Classic Rock vocals are accompanied by an Orchestral instrumental that definitely displays much talent and passion, not without reminding certain songs from Roger Water’s The Wall.
[HMC] Totalspark – The Advent of Midnight | Cinematic Dubstep
Totalspark’s tune off the recent Horse Music Central Volume 4 compilation album is a cinematic-oriented track progressing into EDM elements and that makes it quite the unique hybrid track. An epic and heavy song definitely fitting that artwork of Nightmare Moon by TurnipBerry, it also displays beautiful melodies that are in the vein of Totalspark’s streak of emotional Night tracks.
CainbowRrash – Farewell Moments | Orchestral
It’s always so awesome to get new compositions by CainbowRrash, and this one, inspired by Fallout Equestria, conveys so well the tragic and “desert” mood of the theme with an inspired progression conducted beautifully and melodies and instruments enacting the story so well. The track ends with solemn yet powerful trumpet play by CainbowRrash that is the icing on the cake and that empowers the song with even more emotion.
