Night Blaze – Power of Harmony (2020) | Soundtrack / Orchestral

Everypony you have got to read the amazing description that Night Blaze wrote about this track!! Not only it’s telling such a heartfelt personal backstory about his creative endeavors and what the community means to him, but it’s also explaining all the lore and backstory to the Equestria he’s imagining for his pony songs! It actually has a dark past, and there’s such an awesome, deep, philosophical and positive message about being in harmony with the darkness (facing your Shadow), leading to peace and the utopia we’re looking for! And the rework of the 2014 MLP tribute is expressing all that depth and those meanings, better than ever!

Sonny x Sound Bandit – VOLTAGE | Post-Pony

For that DustCar race themed about “Who is best princess”, these two musicians took a different approach… You’ll hear it from the vocals and the skit at the end of the video too, and such songs made for fun are quite refreshing, all while being quite creative and blissful musically! A lovely and appreciated endeavor for sure!

MirroredReality – Mirage | Folktronica

MirroredReality’s latest song is a brilliant song that incorporates sounds from Indian folk music to add some spice to an already brilliant electronic track. Thanks to the rise of genres like Goa trance, this is a common thing in the EDM scene and I can see why; everything you hear here from the choir and wind/synth melodies to the ethnic drums in the background work super well together!

Power Note – Cauchemar | Midtempo

A dark and powerful track from Power Note, something new from them, this song goes incredibly hard, with an enormous snare and some incredible basses. The Nightmare Moon samples add so much to the atmosphere, really outlining the fear and darkness captured in the song. It looks like more Midtempo will come from Power Note in the future, so stay tuned!

Toby Macarony – Giggle at the Creepy | Alternative Electronic

Toby Macarony goes back to their roots with this horror-inspired, electronic take on Giggle at the Ghosties. Mixing in that far-away, Halloween organ with upbeat synths, percussion, and the trademark Toby Macarony pitched-up pony chops, Giggle at the Creepy is the perfect Nightmare Night party track. While these kinds of songs have always been difficult to describe, it is a fever-dream, a nightmare, and a rave all put into one. The best way to understand is still, of course, to listen for yourself!
