Radiarc – Skip | Hybrid Orchestral

Inspired by that very artistic Rainbow Dash painting by Sharpieboss, Radiarc composed a matching piece that is jazzy yet intriguing and mystical, and has that certain “wandering in the mind” vibe that has become a signature of Radiarc’s music, that often has deep themes to it. Definitely a beautiful composition!

Spikey Wikey – Lord of the Dragons | Dubstep

Spikey’s musical influences hit hard again, with a sick banger part of the album Party’s Over, themed around Lord Dragon Torch! We certainly don’t often get songs about him, and this one is even featuring his daughter who we love so much! Along the heavy wubs and crazy composition, it’s time to feel Torch’s wrath as he’s calling for candidates to the succession of the throne, in a brand new way!

[P@D] MrMehster & GrazySmash – Shanti | Psytrance

Resident psytrance connoisseur MrMehster has teamed up with the talented GrazySmash, who’s been making major plays in pony music in the last year, for a divine Somnambula-inspired cut on the new Ponies at Dawn album! What elevates this above many Somnambula-themed tunes is its adherence to Eastern sounds. From the wonderfully psychedelic drops (and visual accompaniment in 60 fps!) to the great use of vocal samples and gritty basses used in the latter portion of the song, this one is certainly a standout on Eternal!

[P@D] GrazySmash – Pyramid | Psytrance

This track has constant speed all the way through. It’s high energy electronic/dubstep music is honestly perfect, and the subtle sound effects as well as the Egyptian style music throughout the track are really nice additions that add to the whole feel/theme of the song.

[P@D] Osoch – Song of Tyrants (feat. DivinumX, Chris Wöhrer and Wubcake) | Death Metal

If there was an award for the heaviest track on Ponies at Dawn Eternal, this would be an easy win. Track 51 on the compilation, Osoch is back with his third contribution. Along with the vocal talents of DivinumX, Chris Wöhrer and Wubcake, we have an incredibly heavy death metal song about a clash between Nightmare Moon and Daybreaker. With riffs heavier than a 10-tonne weight and a beautiful blend of clean and harsh vocals, we have a brilliantly heavy progressive masterpiece in our hooves.

[P@D] Frozen Night – Glaciation | Symphonic Metal

Another can’t miss track from the brand new compilation album Ponies at Dawn: Eternal comes Frozen Night’s Glaciation. The orchestral elements set the stage with a light, wintry beginning before diving full force into a metal power theme. Frozen Night is a master at creating vivid imagery of nature with instruments and this composition will take you back and forth between the peaceful ambiance of a cool winter scene and the intensity of a full blizzard. The orchestral strings mixed with heavy drumming and electric guitar make for a piece that is sure to get you pumped!

[P@D] Jyc Row – Lunar Rebellion [月の反逆 / Tsuki no Hangyaku] (feat. Satomi) | Soundtrack

Jyc Row strikes again. Track from Ponies at Dawn Eternal, he’s teamed up with a singer who goes by the name Satomi, who also wrote the lyrics about Luna and Celestia fighting as part of the Lunar Republic, in Japanese, no less! What follows is a beautiful orchestral soundtrack piece with powerful electronic percussion, creating something that sounds straight out of an anime. It’s not often we get Japanese songs in the fandom, so this is a nice change of pace!

[P@D] Radiarc – The Void Undying | Breakcore/Hybrid Orchestral

If you haven’t downloaded the new Ponies at Dawn: Eternity compilation album, then you are missing fantastic, powerful tracks like this one! Channeling his own pain and struggles, Radiarc turns that emotion into a dark, overbearing sound signifying “the formless evil that lies within every villain, and its insanity and power from relentless hatred of all living thing”. The harsh instrumentation combined with an intense, chaotic beat and Radiarc’s always skillful symphonic touches makes for an emotional ride!
