Now this is special. The energy and emotions Vylet conveys is absolutely stunning and the syncopated rhythm and retro-esque feel really brings some life to this story. It opens on a very soothing note and boy, does it ever grow on you in an unexpected way! This song in particular is actually one that was commissioned by Draco Schaeffer, and tells a story of Brash and Golden’s relationship “in an age and universe where Equestria’s sewers are just as colourful as the streets” which personally I think is a very interesting concept for a story and its world. I’m really impressed in how this commission turned out and am very curious to see what else is brought to the table!

Our beloved Quicksilver went all-out for his birthday and parties hard the musician way, by releasing a rocking and catchy tune on the same day! This one is themed around S06E24 Top Bolt, and the relationship between Vapor Trail and Sky Stinger! Always such a bliss to get such pony feelings expressed along the power of rock music, by a passionate fellow fan!
Vylet Pony – No Matter What (ft. Namii) [2018] | Pop
Vylet’s continuing his annual tradition of remaking his 2012(!) track No Matter What, this time making it in the cute indie/electronic pop style that he’s really developed into his own sound in recent years. As in a few previous editions, it also includes Namii’s vocals, and I’m sure we can expect many more versions of these to come!
Arabesque Sympony – Jolly Ol Saint Nick (Covering Daniel Ingram) | Big Band
Arabesque Sympony shows off his clever musical skills in this track covering Spike’s feature from the MLP Holiday Album. The jazzy, swingin’ piece is recomposed brilliantly, allowing the bright brass tones to shine through, but not so much that it distracts from Sympony’s wonderful vocals. He even subtly adds Spike’s original vocals in at the end as a great accent to the track!
Remember Falling – Escape | Indie Pop / Alternate Electronic
One more step toward the release of the Monolith album, Escape presents another part of the plot of the story and displays RF’s alternate musical vision once more, one that definitely shows much creativity. An intricate progression of mysterious atmospheres and vocals in the dark open the path to a tasty drop that delivers hard-hitting-ness in such an unexpected yet blissful way!
Mason al’Cat – I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day | Christmas Carol / Epic Orchestral
When Mason al’Cat blends classic Christmas carol style with Epic Orchestral, you can be sure that the result is gonna be sparkling! Gracing the song with his beautiful and powerful vocals, the musician totally nailed this anthem for the end of the year among ponies, all while making it sound so epic with those drums and background choruses!
The Shake Ups In Ponyville – Saddle Up and Go | Power Pop
Anoher YouTube release from the Ponymania album, this one sure brings the delightful Classic Rock vibes along the signature tribute to the Beatles, this time combined with a tribute to everyone’s favorite cowgirl! The vocals are so blissful and the whole song is so catchy, definitely another powerful release from The Shake Ups!
Remember Falling – I Am Brave (feat. Namii) | Indie Pop / Alternate Electronic
For the next part of the story and Hollow’s introspective journey, Remember Falling teamed up with the talented Namii once more, and delivers a gorgeous duet along inspired melodies and a quality electronic arrangement, that definitely shows the musician’s progress! It’s gonna be available as part of the upcoming album “Monolith”!
Rusty Thorsell – Courage (Hope and Chances) | Pop / Swing
Rusty is always good for something unique that only he could make and Courage fits that description perfectly. It is fun to bounce back and forth with this track while the piano sets much of the rhythm. Rusty accomplishes a nice, contrasting feel with the vocal work: singing in an upbeat tone to concepts of sad nostalgia mixed with optimism for hope and chances of the future. The latter portion of the song features a surprising and well-placed choir drop that doubles down on the energy of the track to round out the end of the song with a fun send-off.

Remember Falling’s newest release has got a pretty deep concept centered around the musician’s OC (not unlike the stuff of a certain Viricide Filly), and it creates the kind of musical vibes that you’re not used to hear, going for the roads untraveled and providing an intriguing instrumental along Remember Falling’s beautiful vocals!
