Francis Vace teams up with lyricist and singer iRhymeTheSongs and releases Is Pinkie Pie Related, another ponification of 80s band Ramones under the very fitting alias Rapones. Expect some Punk Rock greatness with hints of Ska, as heard in Equestrian gig halls and live bars!
Francis has been on a roll recently with these cover songs (including a couple of non-pony ones). Have his latest – a rendition of WoodenToaster, The Living Tombstone and Rina Chan’s Lost on the Moon, done in his wonderfully unique Ska-Punk style!
Hey everyone. So, remember the announcement about that charity album we made a couple of days ago? Well it’s been finished and released! More details are on the Bandcamp page but basically, any funds needed to help TheLostNarrator will go to her surgery and medical fees, and anything raised past the $1,500 threshold will be given to a charity of her choice.
Rockin’Brony remade his ponification of Green Day’s American Idiot that he originally released back in December 2014. (Another remake of a ponification, in such a short time after Mason al’Cat released his, such a coincidence!) Some major improvements in this version, in which we can experience a cleaner sound and sweet guitar play, and Rockin’s very Green Day-ish vocals that definitely pay much tribute to that song… the pony way!
A bonus track on his recent EP of covers, Souvenirs, Francis originally covered this AwkwardMarina song a couple of years ago. This is a rework of that version, involving some re-recording and some re-mastering, and is one of my favourites from the EP.
Yo! Time to dig in to another incredible track from Quicksilver. I try to give tracks time to settle before throwing them on the scales, but this might be his best work yet. Just beautiful execution of everything across the board- this is going to be stuck in my head all day.
