Firstly, please forgive the rushed nature of this writeup; there are reasons for that but I shan’t go into detail, this is a place for music. So if you’re in the mood for some funky, hip-hop beats, then grab a seat and let’s listen to Technickel Pony’s new album, aptly named Beats and Pieces. Full writeup after the break.

Crusader! – Party of Two | Acoustic Rock
Let’s end the day on an uplifting little love song from Crusader! This song tells the story of a pony whose life was completely turned around by Pinkie Pie. It features Crusader’s signature acousticy pop-rock sound based largely around acoustic instruments, with some electric rhythm guitar and even a harmonica thrown in for good measure.
StringStorm – Dominance! – For the New Lunar Republic (Covering Not A Clever Pony) | Symphonic Metal
This is actually not Stringstorm’s first, nor second, but third cover of Not A Clever Pony’s song For The New Lunar Republic, each one having a good 2 years of experience gained between them! Check out this latest version with meticulously programmed drums and chanting choirs to add to what’s been done in previous versions.
Candice Kortlever – Babs Seed | Indie
Another track from the A Little Bit For Charity project. This cover features some rhodes and bells, and is topped off with Candice’s harmonies to turn this already poppy song into a cute indie pop track.
Reverbrony – Echoes of the Abyss | Metal
Shoo be doo? Reverbrony’s latest song has a lot of atmospheric elements to give a the haunting feel of isolation beneath the ocean. Also Lyra as a seapony with swordfish-style armour. You can’t go wrong with that!
Ponysphere – Sweetie Monster | Metal

This one song from Ponysphere sure isn’t for the faint-hearted, so if you’re not afraid of the unusual, do check this out and partake in the madness after the break.
Quicksilver – Six and One | Album | Rock
Known for his hard-rock tracks and as one half of the ska-punk project Luna Ticks, Quicksilver is one of the best up-and-coming rock musicians in the fandom right now, and he’s just released his debut album, Six and One! And following a common theme among collections of songs you find in this fandom, it’s based on the Mane 6 and Spike. Catch the full writeup after the break.
Ponysphere – Time Heals | Melodic Death Metal
Like the perfect spiritual heir of My Past Is Not Today, this much welcomed Melodic Death Metal track from Ponysphere stands out as a masterfully crafted tribute to the wonderful character of Sunset shimmer, being beautiful and strong at the same time. With even subtle Folk Metal notes, this journey through emotional melodies and powerful instruments and vocals is all but failing at displaying the strength and unique charms of Melodic Death Metal (my favorite metal subgenre, by the way). And I’d say that Time Heals indeed, despite much controversy on the saying, I found that it’s actually true!
ChickenSteve – Just A Lie | Synth-Rock
Isn’t it wonderful when fan songs complete or extend the depth present in the show? This new song from ChickenSteve is a fine exemple, with all the events of No Second Prances and Trixie’s depth of character surfacing again in a musical way, not without that ability of triggering powerful emotions all over again, a magic that I’m calling Passion and that we can all awaken to. Food for the soul, heartfelt ode to Trixie, or blissful music masterpiece, there are many ways to appreciate this wonderful song. Don’t forget to show your gratitude to the artist and to life, and keep feeling powerful things!
