Equinity 06: Expedition | Compilation Album
In case you missed the release party at the end of last month, the compilation collective Equinity released their sixth album. Most of the 42 individual songs on this release are electronic, from house to dubstep to drum & bass, but there is the occasional rock or orchestral piece here and there. The artists featured this time around are also more diverse – some regular names make an appearance but there are also some new faces to add to the Equinity sonic universe.
All proceeds from Equinity’s albums also go to charity. For this album, the team have chosen to donate Hivos, an organization striving to bring gender equality, climate justice and several other important topics to attention especially in lesser developed areas of the world.

Burning Down Bridlewood, a band featuring the talent of rawrity, debuts with a banger, “LVNDBVCK”. The title is a play on “LAND BACK”, and the song’s edgy lyrics are about taking back land which was unfairly redistributed sometime between the G4 and G5 eras. The track buzzes with the pop punk energy of guitars, the crisp click of drumsticks, and the classic pony chops you’ve grown to love in rawrity’s songs. The vocals straddle near hyperpop territory, giving the song even more energy and creating a really cool texture. Nice work!
Biscuit – A Letter To My Worst Friends, And My Best Enemies (Ft. Nugget) | Metalcore
Biscuit has teamed up with Nugget to deliver this power house of a track to raise awareness of mental Health and suicide prevention. The track begins with contemplative and ominous guitars before the full band kicks in. The raw emotion in the screaming vocals tells the personal tale of Biscuit’s struggle with mental health. The lyrics are brave, with rhymes like “rose above” and “travel the world doing what I love.” Between the bouts of full metal, the song eases up, allowing Nugget’s orchestration to shine and giving the piece incredible dynamic contrast. Overall, it’s an incredible song and a great way to raise awareness. If you or a loved one is struggling with mental health, please know that, as Biscuit says, “You are not alone. You matter, and it always gets better”

And believe it or not, this metalcore track features some pretty fire hardstyle kicks! A combination that sounds absolutely random, but it works out perfectly! The kicks add a lovely bounce to what is already an amazing party track! Definitely give this one a listen yourself and enjoy!

If ever there was a cartoon about the adventures of Princess Cadance, then this would absolutely need to be the theme song! Harmony Bop’s bright synth hook, energetic drums and driving guitars create a fun and welcoming atmosphere for the Princess to deliver her sage wisdom. Sung from her point of view, Cadance sings that you need to “Trust In Love” because trust is so important to romantic relationships.
